The Minnesota Supreme Court has ordered that Democrat Al Franken be certified as the winner of the state's long-running Senate race.
The high court rejected a legal challenge from Republican Norm Coleman, whose options for regaining the Senate seat are dwindling.
Justices said Franken is entitled to the election certificate he needs to assume office. When Franken is sworn in, he'll give Democrats a big enough majority to overcome Republican filibusters.
Coleman hasn't ruled out seeking federal court intervention.

No! The democrat Senators deserve to have that Gutter mouth around every day. Hopefully the American people will learn from Franken the truth about the democrat party!
Of course they can reject him?
Shore ain't what we deserve.
It's sickening to know that we have a state in our nation that would knowingly, willfully elect a blasphemous pervert to a seat in our Senate.

It is not certain they elected him. Some votes were never counted.

I know we disagree sharply on the state of the Republican Party, but I have to agree with you on this one. I really wish Mr. Coleman had pulled it out, for no other reason than to stop the 60 vote majority. What a joke senator. It is similar to the idea of Jerry Springer running.

Regardless of the outcome, it is about time the people of Minnesota got their full representation in the United States Senate.

That's how it goes. Sometimes your guy wins...sometimes not. I have had senators that I felt don't represent me well, but I don't try to use the courts to overturn the election. The only constant in the world is change.
Dad-gum it...I'd like to disagree...but if Stuart Smalley was fairly elected by the...er..."intelligent" Minnesota voters, then it must stand.
I just think it's sad to know that a guy who is blasphemous, perverted, and thinks so very little of morality can be considered a leader in our country. God help us all.

I would put Springer and Franken in the same class of people. Then throw in a few like Leahy, Schumer, and Reed and you have a mess.
