Mine was back in 1977 at an Andre Crouch concert up in Toronto. It was my first date with this pentecostal girl who intoduced me to the lord. I remember I went out and bought his album and fell in love with modern christian music.

Amy Grant back in the early 80's. The band didn't make the trip so it was just Amy and her guitar. If I remember correctly, the opening act was some guy I'd never heard of before -- David Meece.

    David Meese!

He was active in the late 70s, early 80s...

I saw him at an amusement park in Denver, CO in July 1980. I flew home one weekend to NJ and went to Great Adventure where he was in concert!

I totally amazed my then GF by telling her all the punchlines to his jokes and what song would come next....

My first concert? It's been a while.. I would suppose The Couriers in mid 70s..?

I saw Chuck Girard in concert in a High School in central NJ in 1978.. it was him and his guitar. The auditorium was half full, and I was disappointed for his sake. I was a big fan.

Newsboys- Love, Liberty, Disco tour, 2000. The inflatable air dome one. I remember Relient K being there, too- that was a year or two before they got really popular.

Highlights: The intro and the encore were pretty cool, I liked the drum wars on the spinning/tilting platforms, and Peter Furler was hanging out a little before the concert started....I didn't recognize him right away, and I think he could tell. I remember thinking "Those leather pants are a little odd." Then he said something friendly to me and I said something back, but I also noticed the Australian accent. He took off and went somewhere else right as I started to put one and one together.

I must have been 13 at the time.

I always advise guys to be wary or pentecostal girls. They have a tendency to stick around a lot. I went out on a date with a pentecostal girl, and we ended up getting married! We're still marrid to this day.
