I would say i like different kinds of music, and that's often the melody that takes my interest, and the words then.

    I like :
    - Geoff Bullock (I will behold, The power of your love ....)
    - Reverend James Cleveland (Good day, God has smiled on me ...)
    - Crystal Lewis (a few songs)
    - Rebecca St James (Here i am)
    - Ron Kenoly's " Jesus is alive " :) or " I see the Lord "
    - Kirk Franklin's " I am here "

I like very much a version of " Our God is an awesome God ", but i don't remember if it's Rich Mullins one or another.

And you, what do you listen to ? Do you know the music i mentioned ? Do you know any good music christian radio i could listen on the web ?

I love the guys who work with Passion - Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, Matt Redman and David Crowder. I also enjoy Watermark (the Nockles) and Lincoln Brewster. DH gets me my songs since he's the worship guy. He's got a good ear and good heart for finding good worship songs, which is what I prefer to listen to.

I like a lot of the CCM that's out there today, some Southern Gospel (get tired of the twang after too long), and of course, the hymns that I grew up on and never want to see go away.

I like the one's Spear mentioned...

I like CCM.. Praise and Worship, and old hymns....

Can't stand to listen to Southern Gospel... or Bluegrass Gospel... I will, and can praise God for it... but not my preference.

I have lots of Vineyard Worship albums. Lots of the "Winds of Worship", "Acoustic" and "Cafe" worship albums from them.

I have some Integrity and Hosanna Paise and Worship as well.

I have more Praise and Worship than CCM.

    Some of my favorites...

    Praise and worship:

    Kent Henry
    Brian Doerkson
    Jami Smith
    Ryan Delmore
    Chris Lizotte.
    Steve Bell
    Andy Park
    Danny Chambers
    Lenny LeBlanc
    Danny Daniels
    Terry Clark
    Craig Smith
    Terry Butler
    Kelly Carpenter
    John Michael Talbot
    Mississippi Mass Choir.

    CCM:

    Iona
    Edens Bridge
    Phil Keaggy
    Big Tent Revival
    Jim Cole
    Phil Driscoll
    Third Day
    Waterdeep
    Mark Heard
    Crystal Lewis

I enjoy rap and hip hop about as much as I enjoy getting triple root canals.

Or having my fingernails and toenails ripped out :eek:

Tell me he doesn't look like a puffy microphone with that hair! LOL

Crowder is great. What a wonderful heart for the Lord.

One i really really like, it's Gladys Knight's version of " Away in a manger " ... quite often, when she arrives to " Be with me ... " in the song ... tears come :)

I checked the version i prefer of Our God is an awesome God, it isn't Rich Mullins, but Michael W.Smith.

By the way, what does MMC mean ?

I agree. That's why I like hearing him rather than seeing him.

I enjoy Phillips, Craig, and Dean. As for the rest, I pick a song here and there but am not a loyal fan of many. Perhaps it's because I am not exposed to much of it (or perhaps because I don't like much of a rock sound).

I don't much like Southern Gospel, but only because most of the songs are light, imo. I want something with depth, like the old hymns (like Satisfied. What a beautiful song!!!). I really don't like a happy peppy tune about hell. I just don't understand the mentality to that one at all.

Big into Casting Crowns, Third Day, Chris Tomlin..

I'm really big into Aaron Shust's stuff right now. Particularly his new CD.

Mark me down as another Baptist Christian who can barely tolerate "Southern Gospel" music.

Like fingernails on a chalkboard. :BangHead:

As soon as it starts, its..."Beam me up, Scotty! Get me outta here!!"

(And I live in the great state of Kentucky!)

Add me to the list of fans of the David Crowder Band.

I had never heard of him until this thread, but I just spent some time watching several youtube videos. He and his band are very good. I like 'em.

And I have some "hippie" in my pre-Christ years so the hair and gotee dont bother me one bit.

I hate CCM and I hate rap, but I have found myself listening to Shai Linne with my radio cranked up about as loud as it can go when my kids aren't in the car with me.

The thing is, Shai Linne's rap songs have so much theological meat in them, it's more like listening to a good preacher than to music or rap.

Even Paul Washer's a fan of the guy.

SOLID stuff in songs really makes a difference, doesn't it? I love good music but if the words are thin, I don't really like the song anymore.
