I didn't know that Southerners had a monopoly on stupidity. I graduated from a liberal university. I guess that makes me a liberal! A conservative with a liberal application and a communist. Imagine me in Korea killing my fellow communists. For shame!

    Cheers,

    Jim

Donna: Whenever you notify me about something, I take care of it...don't I? I did not receive a 'reported post' from you. I have no clue who or what you are talking about.

Please PM me with some information.

I may not get back to you right away because my only sister died last night and I am pretty upset, but I will get to it as soon as I settle down.

Oh, man, so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you.
You can't win. I graduated from two conservative universities, one of them Baptist. And I'm still called a liberal. Go figure.
Nope, I'm a conservative, but I don't broadbrush people who are of a different political position than me, just because of that political position. Also, I frequently use my brain and discernment, which makes me a liberal to some of my conservative colleagues.

No matter how bad a post might be, it cannot be as bad as your recent loss. Our thoughts are with you

Just wondering ... how far south is considered south in the US? I live in southern Ohio. Does that count?

Come on! For years I have been questioned as to how I could be a member of a Southern Baptist Church, since I live(d) in Alaska and Washington State!:laugh:

I haven't noticed any personal attacks regarding where people are from. At least from what I've seen. I'm sure its happened. If I have ever remarked about where someone was from, it was done while joking back & forth. Besides, I don't get upset when people if they want to make comments about the South. I find most of them funny. Not all Southerners fit the mold of talking with a distinct accent. One time a guy mistook me for being from New Jersey. I don't carry the Southern accent, but I have lived in the South all of my life. I was kind of insulted that he asked me that, but I told him that I never have been to New Jersey before. Then he asked me if I was sure about that. I wanted to sarcastically hesitate before answering "no" again, but politely said no again & went about my business.
