Free Database?

Open Office or Star Office, both free. Open source is software is software that is open to the public to use and/or change to their own use.

There might be others that are stand alone. Google "free database" and see if you find some.

If you can get hold of a copy of Microsoft Office 2003 Professional I can give you a valid serial for it, Tim. Or PM me your address and I can mail you a disk and serial.

Both. I have a spare serial that has never been used.

As for the disk, it is the serial that matters. You could use the same disk for a thousand installs as long as each one had its own serial. The same goes for installing Windows itself. As long as the disk is the same version (Home, Pro, whatever) as the serial it is perfectly legit. If you call Microsoft and speak to someone who speaks English (natively), they will tell you the same... but if you get someone in Bangladesh or wherever they will try to tell you to buy a whole new copy.

There is no need anyway as free database software is available on the Internet. I do not understand why anyone would pay good money for software from Microsoft ... or any other company ... seeing there is free software available that is just as good.

 

All I can tell you is that I have had several at Microsoft (both via phone and email) tell me the same thing, while I have had two who could barely read the script tell me I had to buy a $200+ copy so I could reinstall what I already owned.

If you buy it over the internet they email you the serial, but you download the software. Everyone downloads the exact same file as everyone, all from the same file on the same server. The disk is just a recorded version of this file. MS no longer offers downloads of Office 2003 since it phased it out of the market with Office 2007, hence why I said Tim would need to borrow a disk or have me send him one.

Besides, Tim wouldn't be paying anything for it. I was given several keys for free to help with God's work, and I have used them for churches and ministers.
