I am not Catholic, but found this interesting.

Are you old enough to have given money or supported Pagan Babies? Do you know what they are??

Not necessarily. All the googling I have done it has brought up other forum boards.

I heard about pagan babies at a theatre show I went to see where a Nun was telling a story about raising missionary type money for the babies, usually orphans, who weren't born to Catholics in America.

My family was Catholic until I was 7 and then I attended Catholic school from 7th through 12th grades and I've never heard of it before.

Probably it was in the 50's and 60's. The Nun said they really don't do it any more.

There was a book in the 80's about "pagan babies" that had to do with the genocide in Rwanda. Other than that, I never heard or read the term before.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Yeah, when I googled it, that came up, but it wasn't what I was looking for, although it might be an interesting read.

I've never heard the term and have no idea what it means. Babies cannot be pagan since they are unable to make a decision for themselves.

In the book, the babies were pagan in that they were not Roman Catholic.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Ok, thanks. Well, I was a Catholic for 21 years and I never heard about anything referred to as "pagan babies". At least not that I remember.

Well yes, they do tend to believe that they are the only true church, and everyone else is a heretic.
