old math - Govt budget $100 - raise $100 dollars in taxes, only spend $100

Current math Govt budget $100, raise $200 in taxes, spend $1,000 in other programs, then vote on special projects for certain Congressional distrusts so the Rep will vote with the majority party

Now that the election is over, make sure your congressman does not vote to spend more or our hard earned money than is available

It is a bunch of people complaining that their kids are not learning math in the public grade schools instead of their kids, themselves.

I can mathmatically prove that I am getting older - faster than my mother.

When I was one - she was thirty one - or she was thirty one times older than me.

Now I am 61 and she is 92 - she is only 1.5081967 times older than me!

Conclusion - I am getting older - faster than my mother!

Remember statistics lie - and liars use statistics!

Are you sure that is correct.

No, but I wouldn't be too concerned with it. Here's the only mathmatical equation with which one should be eternally interested:

    1 + 1 + 1 = 1

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." (1 John 5:7)

Uh, no, you flunked math. The correct formula is

    1 x 1 x 1 = 1

    Your formula is wrong.

    1 + 1 + 1 = 3

Went to public school, didn't you?

My senior year in high school (a long time ago) - the math teacher started talking about imaginary numbers -

Such as - the square root of a negative number.

Try it on your dime store calculator.

Punch in -1 and then the square root key - what do you get?

    Error

At that point - I tuned out of that class - now - much to my regret.

Dan Todd - user of math - most of my work career.:BangHead:
