I just logged off till the spring, I don't do the third party things on there. Got nearly 50 friends in a very short space of time, none Christian as far as I can see but that is fine. It's not really for me, just for them to look at my profile and see a Christian link.

Ditto. I keep ignoring all those invitations to join in the Maffia Wars. And I absolutely hate farming, real or imagined... even if you put a 'lil in front of it!

 

I play games and still haven't gotten a virus. BUT I don't farm or hunt for eggs. :tongue3:

 

ABC, I got a virus, too. I think it was from facebook, but I'm not sure. I don't play games, either, so I don't know how I got it. Anyway, it was a nasty trojan, and it cost over $200 to get it cleaned up.

Now I don't use McAfee anymore...

 

I play games and don't think I've gotten anything from it. But I see warnings all the time about scam groups or friend requests that are really viruses or soemthing, not sur ehow it works, but I try to be careful.

 

I tried a few games and had a little fun with them but they became way too time consuming to keep up with and I was getting too many requests on a couple of them, so I deleted them. I think I still have one pet one to delete ( sorry abc! ) The ones I like that are relaxing for me are Bejeweled Blitz and Scrabble. I don't have to collect things for them or get requests or keep up with them. . I just play when I want! Bejeweled Blitz is really fun and I get a kick out of competing against my niece in CA who is reaaaly good, and I LOVE Scrabble. I have a few close friends from our old church and in CA who I enjoy playing with all the time. I have always been a Scrabble fanatic since I was very young. If anyone here would like to play with me, I'd love it. Just let me know. We don't have to play a full game in one sitting - just a turn here or there until it's done is fine with me too.

One thing I've noticed the last few weeks that's driving me nuts is over half the time when I bring up FB, I'll have to refresh 2, 3, or even several times in order for there not to be an error on the bottom of the page and to be able to see the number of new notifications I have so I can bring them up and read them. Has this happened to anyone else? Do you know what casues it or how it can be remedied?

 

I keep getting the error too, and never get most of the new posts either, hope someone knows whats going on.

haha - I haven't thought of those building community groups as games.

When I say game, I mean things like word twist, bejeweled, collapse.

 

Anyone else got the new FB yet? I'm not liking the new changes to the main page at all.

The only thing I've done besides the little quizzes is gather eggs, but I'm pretty bored with that anyhow. No viruses on it that I know of, although someone good in a funky cowboy hat requested friendship, didn't say who he was, and when I told him I didn't know who he was and didn't recognize his pic as anyone I knew so wouldn't friend him, he wrote back and said "your loss."
Which is why I don't friend people unless I know 'em! I love that Facebook gives me that control.
I'm not that thrilled with MacAfee, but hubby has it on here and seems to think it's okay. It came with the stuff we have, so I guess you can't beat free though.
