I was wondering what singing ranges people in here have, because I know there's a lot of church choir members in here. I can sing from the second A# below middle C to the Ab above. I sing second tenor in choir and baritone in an ensemble at church.

I sing whatever, but it doesn't usually sound good. Nor is it on key.

I don't know the range but I have a low voice for a female--probably tenor.

I have a fair voice. I love to sing in duets and trios, but I ABHOR singing solos. BLECH!! I have a group voice and not a solo voice.

I can easily hit G below middle C up to Eb above the next C.

I can reach lower, but it sounds like a fog horn and I can reach higher, but it sounds like a shrieking vulture. So, I just stay in the range that sounds tolerable and NEVER try out for solos. In fact, I don't ask to sing at all, but when someone does ask for backup in a group, I'm there.

I don't sing. My musical talent consists of putting in a CD and pushing play. :D

Consistently, I'm a F# (1 1/2 octaves below mid-C) to A# (above mid-C). A bit over two octaves. Usually that puts me in 1st tenor range, but occasionally bass...if it doesn't bottom out below F#.

For ensembles, parts, praise team, etc., I'll often do alto--once again, as long as it stays below A#.

Falsetto gets me up to about a D or D#.

THis week, sinuses has knocked that down about four steps on both ends.

    (Why isn't there a "flat" key on the keyboard? :D :D )

    Just use the letter "b".

F# = Gb (It sorta works.)

I'm just too picky, scarlett...it's not a true "flat" symbol. :D
