As a Redskin's fan, I am excited by this. Shanahan seems to be intent on bringing the Rdskins back to where they rightfully belong ---- looking down in the standings on the 'boys and the Eagles.

McNabb is past his prime. He would make a great backup quarterback now.

And now, for Philadelphia fans everywhere, upon the departure of Donavon McNabb, I call for a moment of silence.

Well, maybe that's overdoing it. 15 seconds is plenty.

No, really, McNabb has been a good quarterback, but the Eagle's have an excellent backup whom they cannot afford to lose. Who knows, maybe McNabb will flourish in a new situation. That's happened to Eagle's QBs before once they left Philly.

I would have assumed that Syr U fans wanted him to go to Buffalo

Daniel Snyder has done it again!

With Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson and Willie Parker in a backfield anchored by Pro Bowl QB Donovan McNabb, the Redskins are the clear favorites to win Super Bowl XL.

It's about time!!! I've been saying trade him for three years now. At least we could have gotten something for him then.

I'm just glad Kolb is finally going to get a chance, and that the Dog Killer isn't going to be our starter.

It's true that inter-division trades are very rare, but the Phillies benefited greatly from an inter-division trade with the Mets: Samuel for Dykstra.

The Eagles also traded QBs with the Redskins before with the trade of Snead for Jurgensen in '64.

If he couldn't do it with Deuce Staley (at his peak, not the sad spectacle that played in Pittsburgh), Brian Westbrook, Correll Buckhalter, and Terrell Owens, he's not going to do it with those three.

I have as many Super Bowl wins as Donovan has and I expect both our records to remain in tact.

OK. Now that that's over, WOO HOOOOO!

Wonder how many games he'll make it through the season before he gets injured again.

He should have been traded a couple of years ago.

Hmm...I'm going through the long list of Eagles QBs in my head and can't think of any who "flourished". Usually, by the time they leave here, they're in their mid-thirties and end up either being a back up, or just being a hired gun floating from team to team.

Should never have let Garcia get away. Or Rodney Pete for that matter.
