That's what I was thinking, with some lab and hound as well.

He looks a little like a Whippet. He's smaller, tho.

You got me. I think he has the eyes of a shepherd dog, but I suspect he's more than a dual mix! He moves similar to a lab.

I had a pup just like that when I was a kid. The father was an Unbridled Terror and the mother a Shameless Hussy.

Yep, I'm thinking a Terrier expression and head, not sure about the rest. Rat Terriers (one of five of my dogs) are awful small though for that size dog, but stranger things have happened.

Thanks everyone. I entered a terrier, lab, shepherd, beagle and hound mix. We'll see after DNA testing is complete...and I'll be sure to post what the dog actually is.

I just don't see the terrior in it other than his markings may resemble a Jack Russell. I'm not convinced of any hound dog in it either, but again, the markings could have come from a beagle in the woodpile somewhere along the line.

[edit] I recant; it may well have terrior in it:

The size and marking reminded me of a foxhound initially, but color could be beagle as well.

Results are in and the dog is 66% shepherd, 33% whippet.
