I texted my Pastor and told him, and he replied "It will be hard NOT to root for them now!"

I only watch the games that don't interfere with church on Sundays, but
I always keep an ear on the results, and now we can record the games, so I am excited to have a CHRISTIAN rookie quarterback. I hope he makes it.!

The scouts talk like it will take 3 or 4 yrs to get Tebow ready to play QB in the NFL. I can't imagine he'd be the answer to the Broncos ailing QB play. But you never know. I wish Tebow well. I hope he makes a fortune for three years, retires, and then spends his wealth on Christian causes the rest of his healthy life.

For the most part, that is what Danny has done up to now. I don't know what he will do or not do but he is as near a Paul Hornung coming out of school as I've seen in years. What I mean, a lot of talent but where to play him.

If hard work can do it, I think he can make it at qb. I seem to recall Joe Kapp and Billy Kilmer ( I don't think Billy was known for hard work, but poor passes) to name a couple.

My wife Janice became an avid Broncos fan when she lived there years ago, and is still one today.

She's also a Tim Tebow fan. So she's ecstatic today.

as hard as Tebow works, I doubt that it takes 3 years to get him ready.

I am thrilled that he was picked by my favorite team!:godisgood:

Actually, it was 9 Gators; you forgot TE Aaron Hernandez and WR Riley Cooper. I don't recall right now when they were picked or the team.

That's true too, he has a contract with the Texas Rangers but he was also drafted on Saturday (pretty late I know). Maybe he's going to try to be one of those dual sport guys like Bo Jackson.

IN the Denver Post article, Tebow had this scripture in the glare goop
    under his eyes:

    Mark 8:36

so I looked it up, and lo and behold:

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

The NCAA has banned all writing in eye black going forward.

I don't watch much pro ball. But with all the talking heads on radio and TV saying Tebow is the worse pick ever, I hope he is great. I don't think they care for his Christian testimony, but I could be wrong.

RevMitchell, I hope that the NCAA was just nipping in the bud....what if "Allah" was next, or "Choose pot" or "Nike"......you get the idea. I don't know if it's an anti-Christian thing or not, but it's curious at the timing. I don't believe they would've done it with him still in school. Rumors are the idea was floated and they didn't want it to be the Tim Tebow rule
