I say no thank you. As I told someone once who offered me a drag off his marijuana cigarette, "I don't smoke regular cigarettes." I'm in constant (but mostly tolerable) pain from my neck to my feet and rarely even use off-the-shelf pain pills. If I was in agony with cancer or some other illness, I would get my doctor to give me a strong pain pill, but I will NOT smoke anything. I have healthy lungs and plan on keeping them that way. Putting smoke and other filth into my lungs would destroy them.

I saw a picture of a lung that had been taken from a smoker (who no longer needed it), and it was black and shriveled like a roast that had been left in the oven way too long. Not a pretty sight.

I say it's likely you're already "self-medicating."

I say that as a Christian, you have no right to disobey those in authority over you on this.

I say that if you sincerely feel that it would be helpful, begin the process of appealing this policy.

But don't be surprised when you're met with skepticism--quite a few stoners have masqueraded as "desparate sick folk" and there's a huge credibility gap.

THC and other cannobanoids (sp?) can help in some cases with nauseau, stimulating hunger in cancer/AIDS patients, and can act as a pain reliever.

So can many, many other types of over the counter and prescription meds.

But THC doesn't heal anything.

I've only heard of using THC medically with various cancer patients and Alzheimer's patients. But, then again, I don't know everything. (Actually, I know hardly anything.) Excuse my ignorance if doctors are using it with Chron's patients.

If you truly have Chron's, I am sorry. I've known people with Chron's and they suffer indeed.

Oh, Scarlett. Kick back, put your feet up and smoke some weed. After all it is naturally occurring. Come to think of it ARSENIC is naturally occurring. Hmmm..:tongue3:

Can I kick back with some naturally occurring chips and salsa with a tall glass of Sprite instead?

Extra jalepenos, please?

:applause:

Apparently, Mr. MS John is in too "mellow" of a state to return and post on a thread he started.

"Relief" can be obtained from a variety of medicines. You don't have to be a pothead and contribute to the criminal element to get it.

How do you contribute to the "criminal element", if all you do is plant some seeds in your garden ?

I might rather be a "pothead' than a "pillhead". It sure would cost a whole lot less.

I could say, "he who is without sin, cast the first stoner."

Good grief, so now we got folks on here pushing for pot?

This is ridiculous.

Not according to my Doctor.

All i'd like is for my right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, not to be infringed because people don't agree with science.

I'm not trying to change anybody's mind on the subject, only to clarify my reasoning to my brothers in Christ.

Sorry.
