depends on how you define it. If a fertalized egg is at that point (point of conception) is a baby then you are right. I personally hold to point of conception.

Birth control pills usually prevent ovulation but there are times that a woman can still ovulate and in that case, the pill has made the uterus inhospitable to the fertilized egg and if one believes that life begins at fertilization, then yes, it kills unborn children. That is my stance.

However, there are many women who have gotten pregnant on the pill and went on to have healthy babies so it doesn't prevent EVERY pregnancy.

If no baby has been conceived, then how is it a baby? You can't kill something that has not been conceived, and the pill prevents conception.

The pill can prevent ovulation in most cases but there are still break-through ovulations that occur even with perfect use of the pill (taking it every day at the same time, not taking meds like antibiotics that decrease it's effectiveness, etc.). So now we have an egg that releases and comes in contact with the sperm and the egg is fertilized. At that point, most pro-life people believe that life begins and this is the point of conception. However, the pill will also make the uterine lining inhospitable to the fertilized egg and it will not be able to implant. Some feel that this is not killing an unborn child since it has not implanted in the uterus and they feel that the implantation of the egg into the uterine wall is conception and it's OK to prevent that. It all really depends on where you feel life begins.

But bottom line, the pill is only 97% effective if used perfectly and in most cases, it cannot and is not used perfectly so the effectiveness is even lower.

Why would God create a new soul for a (chose your own word) whom or which God knew would not be born alive? Is Heaven mostly a big nursery?
