I'm in danger of losing my home! It's not much but it's all I have and all I can afford. I took over the mortgage loan of another man without any legal papers being drawn up. I filed bankruptcy in 2005 and was refused when I tried to get the loan put into my name.

Now, the man whose name is on the loan has filed bankruptcy, and the RV is being repossessed. The bank (Wachovia) was bought out by Wells Fargo, and despite my making the payment every month for 5 years (It was new in 2005), they are planning on repossessing the RV. I cannot afford to move. I have less than $100 in my checking account right now. They won't get their money out of it by reselling it, and I will make all the payments just as I've done for 5 years.

I told the Lord, "Thy will be done" concerning this matter and refuse to worry about it; however, I am a bit concerned. The man on my loan is trying to help me get it into my name. Otherwise, I will be on the street despite the fact that I have faithfully made the payments all these years. All they see is that he has not made any payments and don't seem to care that this is my home, and it's all I can afford. I hate to lose 5 years of payments that I've made, with the belief that this RV would one day be mine. Of course, since RV's aren't made to live in year round, there won't be much left of this place after it's paid off.

    Praying for you!

Have you spoke to the bank? This kind of thing is happening all the time. Find a lawyer to discover any options.

ituttut: Jon-Marc I am not an attorney, but what I can make of what you say, I don't believe you ever had a Home, according to the Law of the world of earthly goods. You have been renting, as you have no Title to the RV.

I am so sorry, but perhaps you can find another to rent, and it will become your home as you live there with Jesus Christ.

I pray God's blessings to be on you, and yours.

    1 Corinthians Ch4 v 11

I pray for you Jon-Marc - the threat of homelessness is an awful situation, and a terrifying prospect.

Try not to dwell on the financial side of what you've paid out - consider it rent, but pray that God will protect you and house you. Be specific in your prayers, and realistic in any outcomes.

On a practical note, is there anyone within your church who can accommodate you should you lose the RV?

I will include you in my prayers tonight. May God bless you and keep you.

You will certainly be in my prayer's.

What about the land the RV was sitting on, who owns that? If that is not involved maybe you could make other arrangements to buy another used RV to replace that one. Your credit might be better now than it was five years ago and with the economy the way it is, there currently might be some very motivated sellers out there. This time put it in writing, even if it it just between you and a second individual hand written, and both signed and witnessed.

    Praying for you Jon-Marc.

I understand you couldn't get a loan 5 years ago, but wonder if there is any chance of you getting a loan now for the same RV you are living in? Especially with the proof that you have been paying the payments for five years. I would think the bank would might rather be willing to settle the issue with you than have the RV on their hands. Or maybe another bank would look at your payment history and grant you the loan.

    Brother Jon-marc,

The book of Proverbs teaches us not to stand guarantee for anyone. We see how this stands true. The one thing all of this has done is used your life as an example for many to learn.

I know this doesn't help much, but our Lord is gracious and kind. If He can bring you till here, He can see you through. Do not let the quiet moments make you doubt or fear anything.

As I say all of this, I face challenges in my own life. We all have stories of our own - this we say when we get overwhelmed by our challenges. When we walk in faith, all we know is the Lord is in control. May His will be done.

I will be praying for you, and need you to pray for me as well.

If I may suggest, put your age aside, and begin life again. God willing, try putting in some more from the God-given life and strength. He knows your toil, wait for Him to work His miracle. It will come when you would just not expect it. In faith, I'm waiting for my own miracle from Him.

Let's wait on Him together and make it a testimony of His grace and mercy, so that His name is glorified! What do you say?

Maybe God doesn't want you in Florida and will teach you to love another place. One with lower costs of living.

I pray you can come to emotional terms with what you're going through and the fear will go away...hopefully to be replaced with excitement for the new direction life seems to be taking you in!
