    The link Salty published did go to the right letter yesterday. I read it last night but opted to hit the pillow instead of responding ;)

    We do only have black sheep's side, but I don't think having a little quiet conversation with the sister about something that is obvious is cause for apology. However, the fact that his little side conversation made the rounds is. Sister is the one that needs to apologize IMHO.

    And what's with this from the other sister: "told me in no uncertain terms that people never talk about such things with each other." ? Really? I think this family has more problems than their growing waistlines.

    If it is true that the brother only quitely mentioned it then the overreaction speaks for itself as to the intent and motive for it. Those who fight to make this subject taboo are at the root of the growing problems.

    I think there's a lot more to this story than just a casual mention of weight. Sounds like there's a lot going on under the surface in the family that wasn't said.
