Well, none. It just means more work for me if I don't clean it myself. Go see my post in the humor section for proof. LOL

Depends on the texture of the food.

It totally depends on the floor and the item.

    A public floor - it's automatically trash.

At home, if the floors have been pretty recently mopped, most everything is fine. If it's been there a while, I'll probably throw it out but if say I'm chopping tomatoes and a piece falls on the floor, I pick it up, rinse it off and toss it in the pile.

But something like ice cream? It gets ditched unfortunately. Which means ice cream never falls.

It depends on whose floor it is.

I don't pick the food up off the floor. I just call the dog and let her eat it.

With my first two children, we had a dog and she was wonderful. With the last two children I didn't have one and I never realized just how much that dog cleaned up for me!! Wow!

What sort of food? How clean is the floor? I voted "other", because my answer would depend on the answers to those two questions.

I had a dog, a dachshund named Cracker Jack,
a red, long haired standard weighing about 30 lbs, big for a dachshund but he was all skin, hair and toughness... his nickname was "Killer" because he loved to kill small game that wondered into our yard, that's what dachshunds do best!

Anyway, Cracker Jack had a enormous appetite, he'd eat everything.
He was always ready to snap-up anything that might accidently fall from the table.

The anticipation was more than he could bear!
He would beg, whine and fidget for food but we would never give him any.

One day, as chance had it, we dropped some brocchli from the table.

....and he was there ready to snap it up.

....but he sniffed it first and decided it wasn't for him.

We purposefully dropped brocchli for a week and cured him of his habit of whining.

I should clarify that last post. I don't eat food dropped on the floor. It's bad form.
