I had a small dialogue with someone in another forum about the English Premier League, and I wonder if anyone else follows professional soccer. Am I only one of two people here that does, or are there more?

Well, we can always have a conversation between the two of us. :) There is not much pro soccer interest here in southern Arkansas so I am always glad to find someone to discuss the Premier League or MLS with.

I got to watch the Wolves-Liverpool match yesterday on Fox Soccer Channel. As a Wolves supporter I loved watching that result.

Also, I didn't get to watch it as it wasn't on any of the channels I get, but as also a Arsenal supporter at the top part of the table, I was disappointed to see the highlights of the Gunners allowing Wigan to even their match with an own goal in about the 81st minute.

Onlybygrace- Did you attend any of the WC matches? I would have loved to have gone, but at least I was able to watch much of it on television.

Evidently, Philadelphia has a pro soccer team now. The public reaction is pretty much zero.

Big, fancy, taxpayer funded stadium and everything. The smart money here in town is that it will be the new West Chester U stadium within five years, or possibly 'Nova.

I know. If Man United wasn't so much fun to watch I suppose I'd be bitter.:) I guess I'm also a MU fan at heart, though I wish Hull was still in the Premiership.

Ah, yes, the Philadelphia Union. They did pretty well attendance wise for a first year team in 2010 - an average of 19,254, which more than my FC Dallas side that went to the MLS Cup.

After finally becoming a soccer fan during this year's World Cup, I watched the last 24 matches that FC Dallas played this year on TV or online. I have a FC Dallas t-shirt, a FC Dallas bumpersticker on my car, a FC Dallas license frame on my car, and a FC Dallas keychain sitting on my desk at the office.

Also, the Hunt family owns FC Dallas and the general counsel for them is also the general counsel for team; and he is head of a bluegrass organization in north Texas and we became friends on Facebook this summer.

I would love to make it over to Frisco, TX, to watch a match in person in 2011. :)

It's a bit like being a Yankees fan. One doesn't like to admit it because it's the team everyone loves to hate.

Horrible result for Wolves today. If they don't hurry up and put together a string of top shelf performances it definitely looks like to relegation they go. :(

Up at the upper part of the table a nice win for Arsenal today that I was able to watch on Fox Soccer Channel. :)

Also, hurriedly went through my recording of the WBA - Man U match. Horrible PK by Odemwingie of WBA, maybe the worst I have ever seen.
