    This is My Favorite!

    Bow the Knee

    What a privilege to come into God's presence,
    just to linger with the one who set me free.
    As I lift my eyes and see His awesome glory,
    I remember who He is and bow the knee.

    Bow the knee, bow the knee,
    He is king of all the ages, bow the knee!
    God alone on His throne,
    see Him high and lifted up and bow the knee!

    Kneel before Him, all adore Him.
    As you live to love Him more, bow the knee.

    In His hand He holds the power of creation.
    With His voice He spoke and all things came to be.
    Yet He hears each simple prayer I bring before Him
    when I humbly seek His face and bow the knee.

    Bow the knee, bow the knee,
    He is king of all the ages, bow the knee!
    God alone on His throne,
    see Him high and lifted up and bow the knee!

    Kneel before Him, all adore Him.
    As you live to love Him more, bow the knee.

    Bow the knee, bow the knee,
    He is king of all the ages, bow the knee!
    God alone on His throne,
    see Him high and lifted up and bow the knee!

    Kneel before Him, all adore Him.
    As you live to love Him more, bow the knee. B
    ow the knee. Bow the knee.

    My Lord I did not Choose You

    My Lord I did not choose you, For that could never be;
    My heart would still refuse you, Had you not chosen me;
    You took the sin that stained me, cleansed me, made me new;
    Of old you have ordained me, that I should live in you;

    Unless your grace had called me, and taught my op'ning mind;
    the world would have enthralled me, to heavenly glories blind;

    My Lord I did not choose you, For that could never be;
    My heart would still refuse you, Had you not chosen me;

    My heart knows none above you, for your rich grace I thirst;
    I know that if I loved you, you must have loved me first.

    My Lord I did not choose you, For that could never be;
    My heart would still refuse you, Had you not chosen me;

    ===============================================

    If We Never Meet Again This Side of Heaven

    Soon we'll come to the end of life's journey, and perhaps never meet anymore;
    Till we gather in heaven's bright city, far away on that beautiful shore;

    If we never meet again, this side of heaven
    As we struggle through this world and its strife
    There's another meeting place somewhere in heaven
    By the side of the river of life.

    Where the charming roses bloom forever,
    and where separations come no more
    If we never meet again, this side of heaven
    I will meet you on that beautiful shore.

    Jesus, And Shall It Ever Be

    Jesus and shall it ever be,
    A mortal man ashamed of Thee
    Ashamed of Thee, whom angels praise,
    Whose glory shines through endless days.

    Ashamed of Jesus!
    Sooner far, Let evening blush to own a star,
    He sheds the beams of light divine
    O'er this benighted soul of mine.

    Ashamed of Jesus!
    just as soon, Let midnight be ashamed of noon,
    'Tis midnight with my soul till He, Bright Morning Star
    Bids darkness flee.
    Ashamed of Jesus !
    that dear Friend, On whom my hopes of heav' depend,
    No! when I blush, be this my shame
    That I no more revere His name...

    I was overcome this last Sunday morning as we were singing "Now I Belong to Jesus"

    Jesus, my Lord will love me forever
    From Him no pow'r of evil can sever
    He gave His life to ransom my soul
    Now I belong to Him.

    Once I was lost in sin's degradation
    Jesus came down to bring me salvation
    Lifted me up from sorrow and shame
    Now I belong to Him.

    Joy floods my soul for Jesus has saved me
    Freed me from sin that long had enslaved me
    His precious blood, He came to redeem
    Now I belong to Him.

    Chorus:
    Now I belong to Jesus
    Jesus belongs to me
    Not for the years of time alone
    But for eternity.

    We sang this last Sunday. A wonderful hymn, especially as we move into Holy Week.

    How deep the Father's love for us
    How vast beyond all measure
    That He would give His only Son
    To make a wretch His treasure

    How great the pain of searing loss
    The Father turns His face away
    As wounds which mar the chosen One
    Bring many sons to glory

    Behold the Man upon a cross
    My guilt upon His shoulders
    Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
    Call out among the scoffers

    It was my sin that held Him there
    Until it was accomplished
    His dying breath has brought me life
    I know that it is finished

    I will not boast in anything
    No gifts, no powr's, no wisdom
    But I will boast in Jesus Christ
    His death and resurrection

    Why should I gain from His reward?
    I cannot give an answer
    But this I know with all my heart
    His wounds have paid my ransom

    Years I spent in vanity and pride,
    Caring not my Lord was crucified,
    Knowing not it was for me He died on Calvary.

    By God’s Word at last my sin I learned;
    Then I trembled at the law I’d spurned,
    Till my guilty soul imploring turned to Calvary.

    Now I’ve given to Jesus everything,
    Now I gladly own Him as my King,
    Now my raptured soul can only sing of Calvary!

    Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan!
    Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
    Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span at Calvary!

    Chorus:
    Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
    Pardon there was multiplied to me;
    There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary.

    I haven't heard the verses before. Here, the lines from "Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan!" onwards are sung as a "stand-alone chorus".

    Wonderful Grace of Jesus

    My favorite:
    by : Hal*dor Lil*le*nas, 1918

    Wonderful grace of Jesus,
    Greater than all my sin;
    How shall my tongue describe it,
    Where shall its praise begin?
    Taking away my burden,
    Setting my spirit free;
    For the wonderful grace of Jesus reaches me.

    Refrain

    Wonderful the matchless grace of Jesus,
    Deeper than the mighty rolling sea;
    Wonderful grace, all sufficient for me, for even me.
    Broader than the scope of my transgressions,
    Greater far than all my sin and shame,
    O magnify the precious Name of Jesus.
    Praise His Name!

    Wonderful grace of Jesus,
    Reaching to all the lost,
    By it I have been pardoned,
    Saved to the uttermost,
    Chains have been torn asunder,
    Giving me liberty;
    For the wonderful grace of Jesus reaches me.

    Refrain

    Wonderful grace of Jesus,
    Reaching the most defiled,
    By its transforming power,
    Making him God’s dear child,
    Purchasing peace and heaven,
    For all eternity;
    And the wonderful grace of Jesus reaches me.

    Blessed Assurance by Fanny Crosby

    Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
    O what a foretaste of glory divine!
    Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
    Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

    Refrain

    This is my story, this is my song,
    Praising my Savior, all the day long;
    This is my story, this is my song,
    Praising my Savior, all the day long.

    Perfect submission, perfect delight,
    Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
    Angels descending bring from above
    Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

    Refrain

    Perfect submission, all is at rest
    I in my Savior am happy and blest,
    Watching and waiting, looking above,
    Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

    Refrain

    Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
    In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
    Most blessèd, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
    Almighty, victorious, Thy great Name we praise.

    Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
    Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might;
    Thy justice, like mountains, high soaring above
    Thy clouds, which are fountains of goodness and love.

    To all, life Thou givest, to both great and small;
    In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
    We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,
    And wither and perish—but naught changeth Thee.

    Great Father of glory, pure Father of light,
    Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;
    But of all Thy rich graces this grace, Lord, impart
    Take the veil from our faces, the vile from our heart.

    All laud we would render; O help us to see
    ’Tis only the splendor of light hideth Thee,
    And so let Thy glory, Almighty, impart,
    Through Christ in His story, Thy Christ to the heart

    Here's a DANDY!!! :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

    Beside the Gospel Pool

    Beside the Gospel pool
    Appointed for the poor;
    From year to year, my helpless soul
    Has waited for a cure.

    How often have I seen
    The healing waters move;
    And others, round me, stepping in
    Their efficacy prove.

    But my complaints remain,
    I feel the very same;
    As full of guilt, and fear, and pain.
    As when at first I came.

    O would the Lord appear
    My malady to heal;
    He knows how long I’ve languished here;
    And what distress I feel.

    How often have I thought
    Why should I longer lie?
    Surely the mercy I have sought
    Is not for such as I.

    But whither can I go?
    There is no other pool
    Where streams of sovereign virtue flow
    To make a sinner whole.

    Here then, from day to day,
    I’ll wait, and hope, and try;
    Can Jesus hear a sinner pray,
    Yet suffer him to die?

    No: He is full of grace;
    He never will permit
    A soul, that fain would see His face,
    To perish at His feet.

    Just as I am has always been one of my favs.

    1. Just as I am, without one plea,
    but that thy blood was shed for me,
    and that thou bidst me come to thee,
    O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

    2. Just as I am, and waiting not
    to rid my soul of one dark blot,
    to thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
    O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

    3. Just as I am, though tossed about
    with many a conflict, many a doubt,
    fightings and fears within, without,
    O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

    4. Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
    sight, riches, healing of the mind,
    yea, all I need in thee to find,
    O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

    5. Just as I am, thou wilt receive,
    wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
    because thy promise I believe,
    O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

    6. Just as I am, thy love unknown
    hath broken every barrier down;
    now, to be thine, yea thine alone,
    O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
