    Two of them!

Mrs Salty and I have been wanting to start a Bible study in our home (mobile home park - no solicitation)
Well the other day I picked up a customer in my taxi - somehow the subject of our Bible Study came up - and come to find out, she lives in our trailer park - and is very interested in a Bible Study
    (will keep you posted)

Pick up a young lady the other day in my taxi. come to find out she is the mother of my great-nephews. There father - my nephew- has been strung out on drugs and I lost track of him, ( he is now in the State Penn). Kim is more than glad for me to be involved in the lives of her kids.

I got up this morning, took a deep breath and it worked. Then I swung my feet around to the floor and stood up. Wow, two great blessings and I'm barely out of bed! Oh, I have a bed, a house and it's warm and dry in here.

Count your blessings name them one by one....

Last night when I was trying to fall asleep and hearing my husband snoring next to me, I was overwhelmed by the blessing of my family. My children are all walking with the Lord and we've not had so many of the issues we were warned about with teens. Both my 18 and 21 year old daughters are strong in their faith, love their family and were home in their own beds. My two little ones are such tremendous blessings after years of infertility and bring such joy to our home. My husband is in a new season of life and is doing an amazing job of shepherding and preaching the Word. I'm am just so truly blessed!

This morning in my 2nd and 3rd grade Sunday School class, we studied about the baptism of Jesus, and about the meaning of baptism. I had in that class 6 kids, one of which was a visitor. She is the daughter of a girl I taught in 1987. That 1987 girl, the second child of a good friend, accepted Jesus and was afraid to be baptized (fear of being in water), and I had prayed with her for 6 months before she was baptized. And today, I was teaching her daughter! AND, her parents and grandmother were here also! That's four generations! BTW, of the other five kids, one was an uncle and one was a cousin of the visitor!

There is no greater blessing (in my humble opinion) than multi-generation families attending church and worshipping together. To God be the glory!

Once I was blind, now I can see.........perfectly without glasses. I do need glasses for reading. This is after wearing glasses for 65 years and going blind with cataracts.... Bless God!

    Cheers,

Salty, that's really neat to find more family, especially when you can be a blessing to them just by being you. The fact that you want to is further proof you're taxiing your way up to the pearly gates. LOL

More people need your attitude Padre! Feel free to tell 'em I said so without clarification as to WHICH attitude.

Annsni (you know I STILL hum the Annansi song whenever I see your name, right?) it is really neat as a parent to watch your kids grow in faith. I love seeing my girls as involved as they are.

Rev: TAKE US WITH YOU! Oklahoma weather can't decide if it's winter, spring, summer or fall so it's just giving us some of each. Winter spring summer or fall, all you have to do is call...and we'll leave. HA!

Bill, baptisms are so awesome! I don't know why people don't stand up and shout and sing "there's joy in the camp" and everything else! That's one thing I'll never get over in Baptist churches around here. I think they're afraid to be happy or something.

Jim, that must be amazing for you. Having a daughter with some big vision issues and having had some myself has given me a clearer understanding of just how precious eyesight is. You've been blessed tremendously with that gift and it makes my heart happy to know...and be able to read about!

My blessing in the last 30 days would be that my oldest daughter has simply been a great source of comfort and joy to me on a more grown-up level than ever before. She's really coming into her own and that naturally changes how we interact. I've never been through this since she's my oldest so it's all new and stuff to enter into the phase of being the parent of an adult. She's not yet of legal age but is more emotionally and spiritually mature than many older adults.

We were able to pay off a debt, the Lord has given us personal safety in some near-misses in traffic, and we've seen an unsaved couple start attending church, wanting to know more about God.

A negative blessing? Last week we had planned to take a ride down the Oregon but it was raining so hard we stayed in Washington. We would have been caught in the Tsunami mess. My Guardian Angel works hard for me.

I have a friend who always redirects my focus back to God. When I whine or complain about something, she always helps me to see His hand on my life. What a blessing she is to me!

I LOVE the blessings that God gives! This week I had 5 cousins in my Sunday School class. Two of them just accepted Jesus as their Savior this morning, before coming to church! In addition, we had 2 baptisms, and one was Mariah from my class. The other was her cousin Jazmyne! God is sooooo gooood!!!!

My girls and I went shopping at Goodwill for some church clothes. I found them 4 dresses and 2 skirts for under $20. Besides the financial blessing, we're glad to find clothes that fit!

We've had a bit of a "thing" going on at church and it's been really hard. The greatest blessing we've had is the support of those on our launch team and others at our home church. They are amazing. :)

Going on a church retreat this weekend is one.

Getting to pay off a massive debt is another.

I had surgery this past week to insert a support for my right vocal cord, as the laryngeal nerve had been damaged by cancer. My voice began to disappear while I was preaching July 18. But now, in March, I can speak again. Not quite up to preaching standards after only five days, but I think I am on the way.

I can fully understand this one. Not from cancer, but from strokes. It took me three years to preach again.

The Lord continue to bless you.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I should have added that my Baylor-educated surgeon said, "I can't guarantee two hour sermons for you." To which I replied, "This isn't Texas."
