:D That place would almost be big enough for the menagerie. Cade could have his own practice field and everything.

Only problem is? I haven't won the lottery yet. :D (I havent' bought any tickets either, sooo.....)

Northport is WAY better than Montauk. We're just an hour from the city, near plenty of stores and stuff but it's a small town. Actually, this is in Asharoken which is part of Northport but has it's own little village. The penninsula goes into Northport Bay and is absolutely beautiful!! This is the best place to be on Long Island, hands down. :)

Actually no! One couldn't pay me to live there. I love water, but do not want to be totally surrounded by it or to only have one way in and out. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

It might make for a nice little one week vacation though! I'll have to look into buying it for my vacation home. You know, the one I go on in my mind every few months, paid for with a bank account that exists in the same place.

Beautiful. But the water is way too cold up there to be worthwhile.

Nice. If I had that kind of money, though, I'd like to buy it for a Christian retreat/vacation place.

Well, it's Cleveland, OH, right? There's LOTS of fun around that area.

First you can go to the lighthouse and sit there watching the water hit the rocks as you absorb radiation from the PNP.
Or you can go elsewhere to swim in Lake Erie, provided you watch out for refuse and hypodermic needles washing up.
Then there's downtown, where the number of police officers and firefighters got drastically cut some years ago so it's REALLY safe. If you need help, feel free to run until you're away from the danger.
Try not to run to Prospect. It has that name for a reason!

Now for real...I did live there and there are cool things in and around the area. I'd definitely not knock it off the list as a place to go. It's one of those places where if you avoid the advice of travel agents and know what to look for and take time to ask, you'll have a blast.

I moved from Michigan to get away from snow and won't live any place where there is snow.

If you had enough money to afford that place and the taxes you would be a target. Being a target and only having one way in and one way out doesn't sound to safe and secure to me.

LOL - It's actually not that remote. There's decent traffic going by the driveway because there are thousands who live on the "neck" just beyond it and there are hundreds who live on the long big of land that leads out to the "neck".
