    Hi everybody,
In June, I'm going to South Dakota to do volunteer work in Pine Ridge reservation. Are here any people from Rapid City who can give me some information about the cheapest car rentals and the cheapest hotels/motels there? I will arrive to Rapid City in June 18th and need to stay somewhere for one night before going to work for a week, and then will return in the evening on 25th and need a one-night stay again.
Thank you very much in advance!

If you are driving and taking I-90, stop off in Syracuse for a cup of coffee:thumbsup:

    South Dakota

I am from the opposite [East] side of the state. I'll do some checking and let you know if I find any good info.

Also, maybe you could also 'google' Baptist churches in Rapid that you could contact for info

Its in the northern tier of states----just west of the Great Lakes

It gets cold there in the Winter

The Tornado zone is here in Alabama-----had one touch down about 3 miles from my house when the system moved through

....it saddens me I will probably never see South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska or even Wyoming, but then I guess you will never see Wanganui, the beautiful Whanganui River or even Jerusalem which as everyone knows is on the banks of the Whanganui River.

I am from the deep South: Southern, South Dakota. I had been in every state west of the Mississippi [and many east of it] before I had ever ventured into North Dakota.

On TORNADOES: We are not in the 'belt' but, yes, we get them. A few years ago there was a record-setting outbreak of them just 20 miles north of here. I have only seen one...back in high school days and another lifted at the edge of my hometown in front of my Grandparent's house, taking down a tree in their yard.

Sorry, if we've been too much off topic!

Ternera, have you found any leads yet?
