Its 10,000 that gets you a free Alaskan cruise, 1,000 just gets you a toaster that one of the moderators got the last time they opened a checking account in 1976.

Umm...Can I trade in my Alaska trip for a cash reward?..its too cold and I require to stay within a 80-100 degree temperature range environment..

I always wanted a toaster from the 1970's..I'll put it next to my bed..saves walking downstairs for toasted peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! yumm...oh dear diet please end already!

You cannot see the posts of those on ignore unless someone quotes that person...so your hunch is basically correct :)

I look at "Ignore" as a very positive feature. There are just some people who cross the line into absurdity and/or are so inflammatory that it's just best to keep them away from you. It's a mental health feature.

There's a multiple quote button? You mean the "+" sign? LOL, I didn't know that's what it was for!

Cool beans, I can make use of that! :D

BTW, just where is the ignore button? I've never used it or wanted to use it.

That's because when I see somebody making a fool of themselves, I feel so much more righteous.

Ah, Tom, you say, you surely are conceited. Well, I can't help it. Most men as handsome and intelligent as I am usually are.

All seriousness aside, I really am quite humble.

    And proud of it.

Let me see how you do it.

OK - Go to User CP up under the banner. Down the left side, you'll see "Settings and Options" with "Edit Ignore List" there. You'd then add someone at that point. :)

If you just refuse to respond to someone, isn't it the same as ignore?

    Cheers,

    Jim

Noop. Sometimes you don't wanna know what was said in the first place.

The ones on my ignore list don't know they're there to my knowledge and consist of people who have consistently made nauseating racist posts. I simply don't want to read that type of nonsense so unless I block it, I may accidentally come across it while reading a thread and not noticing who is posting or if I forget who they are since I do have some memory issues. I don't visit crack houses and I equate putting them on ignore as if they're living in a crack house. I can drive on past without stopping by and getting sick from the fumes.

Once we're in heaven is a different story. This ain't heaven and I'm pretty sure that they're gonna be singing a different tune once they stand in front of the Almighty so no, I won't have to deal with that stuff there and thanks to the ignore/crack house status button, I don't have to put up with them here in the meantime. Whoo hoo!
