You can't quit the BB! It's not allowed. We need you here to twist the threads when they get too heated. I always look to see what sort of humorous images you have posted when I see your name come up on one of "those" threads.

So don't try that again!

The pics you posted are beautiful. I'm trying to decide where to cruise to for my and my husband's 25th anniversay next year and you are giving me ideas!!!

I can't tell you how many times I have been tempted to erase this board from my memory. I get so tired of the contentious bickering and debating. I know in my heart that this does not please God at all. Christians should fellowship together not fight. I sometimes dread opening the board to see the new posts, because I know there's going to be another dog in the fight. <sigh> Maybe if enough of us stick together we might actually be able to carve out a niche of Christian fellowship here.

Welcome back BobiKy. I agree with menageriekeeper that the enlarged format of your avatar is a beautiful scenerey! However (and I hope you will not be offended), the pictures are over the BB limit in size. The general rule is that a picture could be approximately four times larger than your avatar (but not larger than the BB logo, see Posting Rules 12). But you can always provide a link to a larger picture, thus everyone can see your original intent.

DiamondLady, unfortunately what you were saying about frequent bickering on the BB is a common occurence. Grown man and women, Christians, should commumicate with gentleness and love. But you know, it takes two to start an argument... If one is kind and tactful, the other person soon backs off and quit the pressure cooker. And in case he/she will not, then we have Moderators who will correct the situation. In the past, when I got in the midst of a heated argument, I always thought of a tea pot on top of the stove. The water will soon come to a boil, and steam will rise and even whistle through the neck of the pot. But then a gentle hand will lift the pot off the stove, pours out the water into cups and people can enjoy their coffee or tea. So, the water first must boil for people to enjoy their drinks. Trust that we have many more gentle hands on this board to balance the scale to where it ought to be. May the good God help everyone of us to be on the Lord's side!

 

Well Bob, this was a short visit. Did you ever consider Proverbs 15:1 "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger"? I think the Lord wants you to be a light - so that the darkness would flee away. There will always be contentious people, but sooner or later the Lord will deal with them. And until then, it is our duty to stand on the Bible truth and heed to Paul's adminition to Timothy: "...be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." 1 Tim. 4:12 :type:
