I gave evidence of the context, so basically you are incorrect. :)

I kind of get the feeling you've implied lying also. It's just the way you came across. I don't really need that. Maybe give the benefit of the doubt?

You take this personally and imply that you want to do the same toward a reformed theologian?

You can't do the same with any reformed theologian. No reformed theologian denies the omniscience of God.

I seriously doubt he ever said anything of the sort.

And how would you prove that? By finding an actual quote maybe?
Until you provide an actual quote by Charles Swindoll in which he denies the omniscience of God, I will keep my current opinion of him.

I don't take it personally. I disagree with you.

I really don't care if you do, personally. :)

My word stands. I heard it and presented it on here around that time.

    Here's where I stated it. http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?p=1630155&highlight=swindoll#post1630155

It was around this time that I listened to it.

Oh, here's the link, scroll to the bottom and listen to the messages Jan 3-5. Should be the same as on bottradionetwork.

    http://www.insight.org/broadcast/library.html

He said so on his broadcast of 1-4-2011 :wavey:

Good thing I saved this info, no?

Oh yeah? Well I really don't care if you don't care that I don't care. [IMG]

In other words, it's not worth fighting over. (But Chuck doesn't believe that.):)

Thanks for saying that, apparently most think that Arminian theology necessitates a doctrine of the possibility of denying eternal security. I have reminded others of this several times. I think it is perhaps, our brothers, the Methodists tend to take such a position.

Saw the OP, did not read replies yet. Just wanted to say neither of them are Arminian.

I have been looking around the website, cannot seem to find and archive, I would love to hear Mr. Swindoll say this as well as the context that surrounded it. If you know if archives are available, I would really appreciate a link. Thanks

I've already provided the link. Of course this depends upon whether or not bottradio and insightforliving use the same messages on the same dates. If not, I will call bottradio for the archive. Youll be as surprised as I was. :)

It's right here friends, as I said: http://www.insightforliving.com/3/ArchiveplayerDonate.asp?id=1012255&date=1/4/2011

Listen from around 20 minutes on. He denies Gods omniscience.

Now. Since freewillers say God chooses us on His foreknowledge/omniscience and knows we will choose Him then chooses us accordingly, tell me also again how He also doesn't know all things as Chuck implicates Him here, and as has been suggested on the BB, yet still chooses us in omniscient foreknowledge?

All I did was present evidence, and this backs it up.

    - Peace

    In a descriptive sense only.

Note I meant "omniscience" not "omnipotence."

Your page is 6 years of sermons! Please be more specific. I don't have that much time to find one sentence. :tonofbricks:

I have listened to it, and the closest thing that I hear Mr. Swindoll saying is "don't go there" at approximately the 20:00 minute mark. I do not interpret Mr. Swindolls comment as saying or implying that "God does not know everything". Unless of course someone can illuminate me on something I may have missed.
