Hi, I formerly posted under CC but will now be posting under EA.

This reflects a shift in my theological commitments.

Welcome back, home etc. I would be interested in knowing the reason(s) for your "quantum" shift. If you feel so led, share with us what brought you to this. Thanks and Blessings

Hello EA! I was saved and raised in an Arminian Baptist Church [I am still pastoring in this denomination:(], but careful Bible study and prayer, and reading books by many learned Bible scholars, led me to a Calvanistic theology, which I could never turn away from.....Keep studying, you'll be back!
    God bless

Still waiting for my new username to be granted posting permissions.

Is it ALL calvinists on this board? If so, I may need to find a broader discussion forum!

I will share the journey from C to A in more detail at a later point.

For now my decision was a combination of:

    1) The scriptures
    2) The early church fathers (pre nicene)
    3) The miserable effects that some aspects of Calvinism brought into my walk with Jesus

Thank you, looking forward to your testimony. No, not everyone on this board is calvinist. Even among those that are, there are many who are thoughtful, thought provoking and fair minded in their commentary.

Some of us here are neither Arminian OR Calvnistic.

    It is scripture interpretation!

    First off, welcome back.

I am off the FW persuasion, but sometimes I do wonder. There are things I read in the bible that causes me to ponder my beliefs. I ask God all the time if I have this right. If I don't, please show me. One thing for sure, I don't want to be wrong. I know that I can not be correct on everything, but "please God, let me be right on somethings."

The main thing is to be content on where you believe God has led you.

Welcome, looking forward to hearing about your theological shift. I'm sure the ensuing discussion will be interesting.

It sounds like your having trouble changing your username, I wonder if "Evangelical Arminian" is already taken. If so maybe you can go by "The Poster Formerly Known as Contemporary Calvinist" and have some kind of cool symbol so everyone will be able to know who you are. (Just joking )
