ANY here gone 'totally digital" And use JUST Software, No printed Bibles?

    As I have pretty much converted to all bible software, save for an Oxford ESV study bile, and a Ryrie NAS study bible!

    No, I still like having my printed Bible. Digital is nice. I read part of a book the other day on my ipad, but would rather have the physical copy of the book. That's just me. I use e-sword a lot for study, but I have my physical copies of my study Bibles with me.

    No, I would never give up my printed Bible. I love books, the feel, look, even smell of my Bible is wonderful. I hate reading things on a computer. Give me a good old BOOK every time. Especially my Bible. Years of notes, markings, highlights, even crinkled pages and duct tape, are the things I love about my Bible. Can't get that on a "screen".

    I prefer a printed Bible except I do use my iPad a lot as well. It's always with me (my Bibles are larger) and so I can read my Bible easily wherever I go. I also keep my iPad at the side of my bed and I can read my ESV through the Bible in a year when I first wake up and I can't focus. LOVE the zoom feature! LOL But still, they will never replace my print Bibles.

    I'm digital for all my studies, still use a hardcover in church...
    I thought that a digital display was distracting for others but I'm seeing more and more during church services.

    I'll probably switch over fully sometime next year.

    I see very few young people in our church carrying anything except for an iPad or phone any more. While I personally love books, with the advent of the electronic age it doesn't make sense economically or environmentally to have a print copy of everything. I plan next year to start using an iPad for my sermons.

    I'm sure some folks argued against the advent of the printing press, because... (fill in the blank) :smilewinkgrin:

    I don't think I'll ever ditch the book completely, but I'm headed that direction. At home I use digital almost exclusively; I carry a Holman (soon to be ESV) Sunday morning but am experimenting with the Nook (a gift from The Daughter) on Sunday nights. It has the Holman, ESV, KJV and NET so far (and it's a lot lighter than the full NET).

    I'm actually the opposite. I use a mix of digital and physical for study but it's all digital at church.

    Sunday morning I used a Kindle. Cost me 7.95 to have the NASB downloaded onto it. On some Sundays my astigmatism (a consequence of being over 45 I guess) makes it hard to see and I have to wear my glasses which I hate. On other Sundays I can see fine. With the Kindle I can adjust the font size depending on how well I can see. No need for a large print Bible. In my office I use ESword and Word Search almost exclusively. I also have the New Century Version on my Droid. I got that version for free.

    I still use my printed bible for Scripture readings, but my preaching notes are on my awesome Acer Android tablet!

    The Mrs. offered to put my most recent wedding sermon/vows on her amaz*n kindle and let me use it, but I said "thanks but no thanks."

    I like a book. But that may change over time.

    I have a KJV on my Blackberry....but I will always have the written
    book version of the Holy Bible, as someone else said, there really
    isn't anything like the touch, look, and yes, even the smell, of
    a book of the Bible.

    I'm pretty much all digital. At a previous church I went to, a couple of years ago I got the sense that they looked down on a digital bible in church...

    If your whole church goes digital, won't you miss the sound of bible pages rustling in unison to find a passage?

    Personal devotions: printed Bible. Who wants to fire up the laptop first thing in the morning. (Don't have those other things yet.)

    Study, research, translation: strictly digital.

    Preaching and teaching: printed. Anyone use digital to preach?
