Do you have a study Bible that you would recommend? If so, why? What do you like about it? What are its limitations?

I am purposely putting this in a fellowship forum rather than a debate forum, as I am simply looking for ideas, suggestions and recommendations. Thanks.

These days the ESV Study Bible comes very highly recommended by virtually everyone who is anyone in Evangelical circles.

I have asked for the ESV Study Bible for Christmas. I am very pleased with the Baptist Study Bible I have and my husband likes his Life Application Study Bible.

I don't think it would be the larger Evangelical world. It is primarily popular in Reformed circles.

Perhaps, but I've seen very positive reviews by a LOT of important folks.

The Hebrew-Greek study bible by Spiros Zohodiates(sp?) I would highly recommend. It comes in KJV and I think NASB, plus a couple more translations.

I still appreciate the Thompson Chain Reference Bible. Mine happens to be in King James.

    Cheers,

My wife has the Reformation Study Bible. Now that one is really popular in the Reformed circles.

I really enjoy the RSB (and recommend it), but would prefer to have another study Bible than two of the same.
