I've seen it numerous times. Christian parents signing up their under 13 year old kids for Facebook - and having to type in a birthday that is not the child's because you have to put in a birthday and it won't accept under 13. They teach their child that it's wrong to lie but then go ahead and do it for Facebook?????? WHY??????

I am stunned by this, especially when parents get upset because I won't friend their kids.

Worries and concerns over Facebook are never a part of our lives.

I will friend my children's friends when they friend me but I will not go seeking to friend them. They must initiate it. But I would not friend someone who is under age.

I don't get that either, Ann. And it seems those parents who allow it then complain about "issues" with facebook for their kids. Well, yeah! That's why they aren't supposed to have one yet, because they aren't mature enough to handle it. Sigh.

I agree. I don't approve of my granddaughter's page, and my step granddaughter and step grandson both have pages, all this is out of my control, even if they are all under age 13!!! And especially when they were all "friended" by my step-daughter, who is a gay-loving, pro abortion Obama-worshipping liberal. She constantly posts pro abortion and pro gay
garbage. I have unfriended her because I am so sick of her posts.

Why? Because parents think it is cute when their children are as egocentric as they are. When a child instinctively does something wrong it can't be so bad when we do it.

When did kids stop being kids?

Kindergarden used to be half-day, not only is it a full day now, we send 3& 4 years olds to pre-school

Playing sandlot baseball can be fun, but why are we having 6-10 year olds playing on organized teams every sports season

Kids are being taught computer operations b4 they can count or know the days of the week

Kids used to play cowboys and Indians & cops and robbers - now if they do, they being told they need counseling for being destructive

Kids used to watch only 1 TV program a day, then go out and play until supper time. Now they have a TV in their own room.

Kids used to get off the school bus, walk in the house and be greeted by mom. Now, as he gets off the bus, takes the house key...
