Urgent! Heart Transplant

Newest update: "her husband told me the Dr. is still optimistic that the heart just needs more time to recover. They may try again next Tuesday. In the mean time, she will be able to recover more from the surgery and pray that she stays free of infection."

 

" PRAYER WARRIORS! This is a post from her mom.

For our prayer warriors who have never met my daughter (our Baptist Board sister) :
She is 30 years old. She was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy on Thanksgiving 2009. In 2010 she had a diffib/pacemaker surgery. Last July she had surgery to place the LVAD. On Oct 5th 2011 she was admitted to Emory with complications concerning the right side of her heart. She has been in the hospital since then and received the call of a heart match on Dec.27th.
She has remained faithful to our heavenly Father throughout this journey. We have been blessed by the prayers of all whom have petitioned the Father on our behalf.
Praying that everyone will one day meet her and hear her testimony through His Word and music. I am blessed to be the mama of such a talented woman. "

 

Update Post from her mom:

She is in surgery to release leg/ skin pressure and evaluate hand /skin. Heart is doing good, same as yesterday. Concerns are: too much swelling will constrict vessels in legs. For sterile conditions decision was made not to do this bedside. Will update when procedure is finished and she is back in her room. Praising and petitioning God for His healing touch.

 

Update from a friend: She has pulses in both legs! Praise the Lord for His blessings!

 

Monday Prayer Update from a friend: She is in ICU but stable...they had to put the external pumps back on so please continue to pray for her new heart to strengthen and begin to pump on its own!!

 

update from her husband:
Her new heart continues to strengthen, but slowly. Please pray that we avoid complications until we can get her off the pumps and ventilator.

 

What a wonderful God we serve and pray to!!
It is so encouraging and amzing that she is living with a heart transplant...a miracle!!

Lord, we continue to lift this lady whom is living with a new heart help her body to adjust to it. May You instruct the hands of the doctors and surgeons in answering the prayer of Your children. May You help her to get strength and avoid any complications and that she will be able to get off the pumps and ventilator as soon as possible. We pray that You strengthen her husband, family and friends at this time. In the name of Jesus we are counting on. Thy will be done!! AMEN

 

Update - No surgery today due to scheduling. Her heart seems to be doing well. Looks like surgery will be Thursday but will confirm later. Vascular surgeon still concerned about her left leg.

 

Update Thurs 11:00 AM EST : She is back in the OR. It is our prayer that her heart is strong enough to tolerate the removal of the external heart pumps.

 

Amazing!!! Praying for God's will and praying for a miracle!!

Update from a friend: "To all Prayer Warriors that have been lifting her and her family in prayer over the last week, I am pleased to pass along to you the blessings from our Heavenly Father. Today the bi-VADs were successfully explanted and she is recovering in ICU. Her mom says that the doctor is expecting a full recovery. What a wonderful, loving God we serve! Please continue to cover her in prayer as she regains her strength and continues to heal. Praise His Holy Name!"

Dear Lord, Give wisdom and instructions to the doctors who are in the care of this precious sister. Strengthen her husband and family to believe and trust You to be doing Your will in their lives and in the life of their dear loved one! We ask for a miracle and trusting Your will to be done, in the precious Name of Jesus!! AMEN!!
