Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a copy of a leather Criswell/Patterson NKJV baptist Believers study bible?

Thank you in advance if you are able to help at all!

I think those have been out of print for many years.

Might still find one online, but would proably take a second mortgage to afford it!

Yeah, I knew they were out of print, and so I have been tirelessly looking for one and cannot seem to come across a leather-bound copy anywhere. Some hardbacks are running in the $200+ range. I'm probably going to have to have some luck to come across one of these!

Just a thought but you might look into having a hardback copy rebound in leather. Say the book itself costs $80, and the binding job cost say $120 (I have no idea of the actual cost) you might get what you want for about $200.

I found a custom book binding service, that does leather, but I did not e-mail them to get an estimate. Might be worth exploring.

I just saw one for 47 dollars. There are plenty of them out there. I could not see a leather bound.

    He wants NKJV, not KJV.

Get one in hardback, get it bound in leather, end of story. Shouldn't cost much over 500.00 when it's all said and done.

How about just get a NKJV Study Bible or a MacArthur?

    Exactly.

The Criswell is near impossible to get (NKJV/Leather). A MacArthur would make a good study Bible for those who like the notes and comments.

Thank you so much, guys I am overwhelmed with the responses! I am being very picky, I want the NKJV AND Leather, so coming across the right Bible (especially since it is out of print) is going to be a tough go. I like the idea of purchasing a hardback and having it custom bound.

Anyone have any experience with this being done? I have questions like by whom? Cost?

You'll have to check into getting it bound in leather, it's an option yet I haven't ever had it done. Google it?

I'd get it bound in goatskin with a full or semi yap since you're going to spend and arm and 4 legs on it.

No kidding! But it truly is worth it to me, especially with the great scholarship of the contributors therein. I wouldn't mind having a hardback copy, except that I don't like preaching/teaching with one. Feels better to hold a leatherbound!

I wonder why Thomas Nelson quit printing those things, anyway?

For what he's gonna have to pay for it, it'd better be able to fetch his coffee for him, and also speak to him....
