What are your opinions on this? Do you think there will be animals in heaven? Why or why not?

Thanks for posting that verse. I never noticed that before, and we are studying Ecclesiastes on Wednesdays. I agree with you. I love pets, as we have a dog, a cat, and eight birds. They each have a personality and are a joy to be around. However, to me, they are the Lord's blessing on this earth.Ecclesiastes 3
21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

Interesting take on the Romans teaching, where in Revelation are you talking about?I believe there will be animals in heaven. Places in Revelation suggest it. Also, one of my favorite and personally significant passages does, too -- Romans 8:18-23.
I found some of the posts in this thread about the same topic helpful-

what about the child playing next to the Snake's hole without being in danger?
and the lion sleeping next to it's former predator?
I believe that the situation 12strings is referring to (see Isaiah 11:6-9 for the full citation) is more likely referring to what conditions will be like here on earth during Christ's 1,000-year reign.
What if you're an a-millenialist!!!
