Tonight I cannot believe I watched two movies even my wife would not watch with me. LOL. These were on the SyFy Channel. The first was "Super Shark" and the second was "Sharktapus" a movie about a man made creature that is half shark and half octopus. The creature got out of control and went on a rampage against the local population. The effects on these movies and the plot is so bad it is almost a comedy. At the last judgement, when we give account for everything, that four hours of time will probably come up as being a total waste?

So does anyone else want to fess up to something that was a total waste of time?

Sometimes I think much of my life has been a total waste of time.

Well, as an outside observer, your posts are very well reasoned out. We do not agree all the time, but I understand your points. You seem like a very sincere, well informed Christian that has lots to offer.

    I greatly appreciate that.

It's just that much of my life has been spent in ill health and indecision.

If Baptist Board was made into a TV show, would that be a waste of time? Sitcom, Drama, reality show....

Salty, who do you think should star in the opening episodes of "Baptist Board Survivor"?

Ridiculous movie? Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. More than once. ROFL

I usually don't feel too bad about time spent like this. I'm trying to raise five kids in a Christian home, working with teens during the school year, got a husband now to love and care about...part of me being okay to handle life involves having time to veg out on occasion.

Or play on the BB...gotta love summer! :D

My main concern is that the church I was involved in got bombarded with some people causing issues that sent my stepkids running and never wanting to go back, started a firestorm of disagreements and problems within the church and our spiritual lives and that was my lifeline and way of being involved and doing something in the Christian community where I live. Gotta figure out where to go from here, so that's much more of a concern than taking a break from the insanity of life to watch some comedic sci-fi movies!

Which reminds me...I MUST find that movie and watch it again! Also need to check and make sure that there were never any movies following in the same order because if they exist, they must be watched!

No way! I actually watched the last half of that.

And apparently could breathe air, since it spent much time out of the water standing and walking around on its eight legs.

I'm not sure about that. There's got to be some down time in life. Just think just prior to death, when your life flashes before your eyes, you will be amazed at how much time you spent sleeping!

I watch a lot of baseball on TV.

OK, I'll confess. While you were watching Sharktapus - so was I.:laugh: BUT, I was also folding clothes and towels and washing bedsheets - so I consider myself all evened out!

Ecclesiastes 3 says there's a time for everything:
I highlighted a part of verse three. See, the Bible does endorse killing time. So Gina, don't worry. Go ahead and veg out. It's perfectly scriptural.

And verse 7 endorses quiet time, so you're safe ground just chilling out.

God has to have a sense of humor, I expect it will be something like this

    *me standing before God*

    *God flips page*
    God: Good Work Son
    *God flips page*
    God: Good Work Son
    *God Flips page*
God: Well Son, you could've done better here
    *God Flips page*
    God: *LAUGHTER*
Me: God, what are you laughing at
God: I can't believe you wasted 2 hours watching Sharktapus...that's terrible.

Now....are we talking the original classic or the horrid remake? The distinction matters. :tongue3: Or so says the man who remembers watching such classics on Saturday afternoons as hosted by Elvira when I was a kid.

Ahhh, Michael I so identify with that!!!

I do not have a telly!!!!! So do not waste my life with the 99.5% garbage that constitutes viewing. When did civilisation decide that they cared about cooks in the kitchen as voicepieces for the vox populi....I mean they are on a par with the madness of the high regard of people who dress up and pretend to be other people (actors) and sports folk.
