There have been lots of threads lately about rebaptizing and immersion. From pastors, is there any physical condition that justifies another mode of baptism than immersion?

I don't think so. Calling sprinkling or pouring baptism (baptizo Gk) does not make it so.

We've permitted two instances where we poured for baptism. Both were for terminally ill patients who would have died if we placed them under water. These were documented cases where the doctors agreed such a practice would be very harmful for the patients. They are very rare.

The other 99.9% of the time we baptize by immersion.
