Read chapter 1 in romans, as the creation itself bears witness, testifies to a God existing, as he made all things..

Even sinners see and can know that God is real, all powerful, exists...

their own conscious condemns them...

natural revelation allows sinners to see that God exists, his attributes to some degree, but to be saved, need special revelation, and is from the Word of God become flesh, Jesus, and his written word, Bible!

Yes! And those who do not seek God in this life will not have a "second chance" in the next.

hebrews

ALL have been appointed to taste death, and after that judgement....

Who said after death a person is not judged?

We just disagree on if God considers if a person ever heard the true gospel before.

Not only that, I gave scriptures saying Jesus went to the spirits of those who had died, and preached the gospel to them, yet people here go against that truth.

People not only go against that truth, they try to get other scriptures to try to disprove the scriptures that say Jesus preached to those who had died.

That passage you use to say Jesus preached the Gospel to those in prison tells us that He preached while the ark was being prepared.

1 Peter 3:18 (KJV) For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

That verse simply says Christ died that he might bring us to God.

19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
He went and preached to the spirits in prison. Which spirits did He preach to? Read on for the answer...

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
Those who lived in Noah's day were who He preached to. Doesn't say He preached to all people who lived and died from Adam to the cross. It says those who were disobedient during the time the ark was being built.

You can't get Christ preached the Gospel to all people who ever lived out of that passage.

ALL agree that jesus went to preach to those captive, its just that there is NO evidence that there was a 'second chance' offerred at that time!

or ANY other time in the Bible!

That is nonsense. You need to stop adding and subtracting to the word of God.

The scripture says Jesus went and preached to the SPIRITS in prison.

So they can live according to God in regard to the spirit!

1 Peter 4:6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to men in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

It is right there for you to read and believe.

Who were the "they?"

gospel was preached even to those who are now dead,

Preached... past tense

are now dead... present tense.

It does not say were dead. If it did, you might have an argument.

Christ preached to the Pharisees in Matthew 23. But there is no evidence that He preached to them after their deaths... none whatsoever.

good point!

its like baptism for the dead mentioned by paul...

One MUST take into account ALL scriptures regarding a doctrine, and IF the evidence points towards the true understanding, than we cannot take and use a single verse to go against the clear truth all other scriptures point towards!

So since bible clearly teaches no second chance, must inteprete this passage accordingly!

Also of note, the verse says Christ preached to them that are not dead... not Christ is preaching to them that are dead.

1 Peter 3:19 through whom also he went and preached to the spirits in prison

1 Peter 4:5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to men in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

Good, you can post Scripture.

Now you need to sharpen your interpretation skills....

Verse 20 tells us who He preached to.... those who were disobedient in Noah's day while the ark was being prepared.

He preached to a specific group of spirits... those who died in the flood.

You speak nonsense. The gospel was NOT preached in the days of Noah! The gospel was preached when Jesus came to earth as a man!

1 Peter 1:12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

1 Peter 4:5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to men in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

I am not speaking nonsense at all.

1 Peter 3:19 (KJV) By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Verse 20 is a continuation of verse 19. Verse 19 ends with a semi-colon, not a period. Verse 20 tells us who Jesus preached to... those who waited i the days of Noah.

How anyone can get "to all who ever died after the flood" from "while the ark was preparing" is beyond me.

Your proof-texting only proves you don't rightly divide the Word of Truth.

By the way, it was judgment being preached in 1 Peter 3:19, not the Gospel.

Readers, read what Steadfast Fred said, he said, “That passage you use to say Jesus preached the Gospel to those in prison tells us that He preached while the ark was being prepared.”
He actually argued that Jesus preached to those while the ark WAS BEING PREPARED. However, the gospel was not preached until Jesus came to earth as a man!

1 Peter 1:12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

Now read more nonsense Steadfast Fred teaches. He says, “…it was judgment being preached in 1 Peter 3:19, not the Gospel.” NOT THE GOSPEL?! Read for yourselves 1 Peter 4:5.

Readers, read what the Bible says about to whom Jesus preached to...

1 Peter 3:18 (KJV) For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Christ (v18) preached to the spirits (v19) which were disobedient while the ark was a preparing (v20)

What Moriah is preaching is not the Word of God, he preaches something entirely different.

So now, you are admitting Jesus did not preach to the spirits WHILE the ark was being prepared is that right?
Therefore, you do not admit error, you do not show thanks that you were taught something, but you go on as if nothing happened?
Your problem now seems to be that Jesus only preached to those who were alive in the times of Noah is that what you are saying.
You want us all to believe Jesus only preached to some spirits and not all who have not known the gospel. Why is that? God is God over everyone. Why are you leaving people out?
Romans 14:9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.
