    The punishment of McKinley's assassin is rather macabre. After executing him in the electric chair they doused his body with sulphuric acid to prevent anyone from stealing his body and/or his clothes and selling them.

    Seeing how many times people tried to steal Abe's body that actually makes sense.


    Heck, God buried Moses in Deut 34. I would suggest that He did this so that his body, and his buria place, would not become idols or abused in some other way.
