The good guys should have access to firearms.

The bad guys should not. They will get firearms on the black market or where ever.

The good guys are easy targets without weapons.

We live in an armed camp.

Did not Jesus say a sword or two is enough?

He also said He did not come to bring peace--but a sword.

Weapons for self defense are O.K. The Minutemen will take care of the rest.

Smith and Wesson are a serious deterent to assault and battery as
well as burglary and armed robbery.

I will be keeping firearms until the rapture. They will not be registered.

The time for plowshares from swords has not yet arrived.

Keep the peace. No one seems able to make any. See Mt. 5, the beatitudes. This is not talking about thieves and robbers.

Even so, come Lord Jesus.

I have what the news folks would call an arsenal including so-called assualt weapons. I have only shot; animals in season, paper and metalic targets and a few glass bottles.

Come visit unannounced some night and I'll introduce you to Mister Remington.

I have a few tools in my shed.

I see no reason to hide it. Some have been bought through stores that filed the paperwork. Some were gifts. Some were legally bought from private parties. I was a licensed armed guard and I buy hunting tags. There is no reason to think the Government is unaware of the fact that I have firearms.

If they decide to take guns away it won't matter at this point. I could sell them all and when they come honestly say I own none. They would not believe me and search the house anyways.

You should try owning one. If for no other reason just to tick off a liberal.

Trust me - I'm tempted

Plus there were THREE bucks in my backyard two days ago. Do you know how tempting that is for even someone who's NOT a hunter??????

I have never owned or even shot a gun, but I have killed.....a snake with a trusty sharp bladed shovel. I was told after, that the snake was probably in aural shock.... I must have looked scary, screaming at the top of my voice and jumping about fricassing the snake....an enormous amount of blood the wretched things have.:type:

Did you eat the snake after you killed it?

Do you own a gun?

I own three.

A good old Ruger Mark I .22 target pistol for target shooting and keeping basic skills up to date (very inexpensive ammo), a Sig Sauer P250c to conceal and carry on my person, and a Mossberg 590A1 pump shotgun (that's the tougher military spec version with heavier barrel and metal safety and trigger guard) for home protection in case we have a problem with intruders.

I'm taking a friend and his 16-year-old daughter to the range today so his daughter can learn about guns. She has an interest in them and although he doesn't own a gun, he doesn't want her curious about them without knowing how to handle them safely. I think he is a very wise parent and I don't mind taking the time and expense to teach someone gun safety. It takes the mystery away and she can decide when she is a bit older whether or not she wants to become a gun owner.
