There is error in every religion! How can he be the Spirit of truth, as per jesus, yet foster and allow unbilical truths in charasmatic catholics, word of faith, health and wealth etc?
There is error in every religion!
There are groups within the Charismatic movement that:There is error in every religion!
There are groups within the Charismatic movement that:
--deny the trinity.
--make baptism a requirement for salvation.
--make speaking in tongues a requirement for salvation.
--believe that we all are "gods." (little god theology)
--believe that the atonement was a deal struck between Jesus and the devil.
--believe that the canon of scripture is not closed, but is still being written through their "inspired" utterances.
Well, I do not believe any of the above! I do believe the Bible is complete! But that does not prove the gifts have ceased!
As I said I do not believe any of what you posted! That is why I am still in a Baptist church that believes in the manifestation of the Holy Spirit! And there is much more.
As Baptists, and even all of evangelicalism, we don't believe in such unorthodox doctrines. Or to put it another way, we don't deny the very fundamental doctrines of the faith. Some of the doctrines that are denied here lead me to believe that the person denying them is not saved.
For example, if the Christ you believe in is not the "trinitarian Christ" he is not the Christ of the Bible, and you are not saved.
Well...again! I believe more like a baptist on most issues! But I do not believe anything that contradicts the Word of God in any religion! If the atonement is not Christ shedding his blood for all mankind as payment for our sins, then you are not saved. IOW, if your definition here is that it is a deal with the devil, you cannot be saved.
If either baptism or tongues are a requirement for salvation then a person is not trusting in Christ alone. They are not saved. They don't understand salvation.
The Charismatic movement is fraught with such error.
It is not so simple to make a blanket statement "There is error in every religion."
More accurately put: "Not every "religion" so-called, denies the fundamentals of the faith. We don't.
Here is the OP:Well, I do not believe any of the above! I do believe the Bible is complete! But that does not prove the gifts have ceased!

Your response was that there "is error in every religion," and in so doing were defending the Charismatic movement with all its error.
You were very defensive. Thus, I listed for you many of the errors that they believe in.
Now, after reading my post, you start distancing yourself, and say that you are still a Baptist.
OK, so you are a Charismatic Baptist, one who is associated with the Charismatic movement and all of its errors.
Amos said:
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
But you walk together via the Charismatic movement, hand in hand, with unbelievers.
NO, you put me with all the errors! I have made my faith plain! Yes! I do still believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and I believe that He is still manifested today as He says in 1 Cor. 12!Here is the OP:

what part of the miodern charasmatic movement do you hold to then?
Do you deny modern day Apostles/prophets?
deny ongoing revelations?
Deny you must speak in tongues?
Deny the "baptism in the holy ghost?"
Just what part do you accept of that movement?
I don't accept any part of it.what part of the miodern charasmatic movement do you hold to then?
Do you deny modern day Apostles/prophets?
deny ongoing revelations?
Deny you must speak in tongues?
Deny the "baptism in the holy ghost?"

Come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord.
I used to be a Catholic. I have separated myself completely from the Catholic Church.NO, you put me with all the errors! I have made my faith plain! Yes! I do still believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and I believe that He is still manifested today as He says in 1 Cor. 12!
I walk hand in hand with the truth that is in His Word! You deny what in scripture!
If I were a former Charismatic, I would do the same thing--separate myself completely from the Charismatic movement. You can't pick and choose. You have associated yourself with an heretical movement.
I do not deny any of the above! To deny that would be to disagree with the Word of God! I do not believe anyone HAS to speak in tongues!what part of the miodern charasmatic movement do you hold to then?
Do you deny modern day Apostles/prophets?

I have never been a part of a charismatic movement to separate from!!!!!I used to be a Catholic. I have separated myself completely from the Catholic Church.
If I were a former Charismatic, I would do the same thing--separate myself completely from the Charismatic movement. You can't pick and choose. You have associated yourself with an heretical movement.
Then you are separating yourself from the truth in His Word!I don't accept any part of it.
Come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord.
As I have said several times....I do not believe anyone HAS to speak in tongues! I do not believe revelation through prophesy adds to or takes away from the Word of God!
What you believe in doesn't make it the truth.I have never been a part of a charismatic movement to separate from!!!!!
I have never left the Baptist church! We just believe in the manifestation of the Holy Spirit is for today!
Look at the context of the entire passage:Then you are separating yourself from the truth in His Word!
As I have said several times....I do not believe anyone HAS to speak in tongues! I do not believe revelation through prophesy adds to or takes away from the Word of God!
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
You are unequally yoked together with unbelievers (the Charismatic movement).
There is no agreement that the temple of God has with idols.
Read what these verses are teaching.
Wherefore come out from among them (all of this unbelief).
If you have the truth (Baptist belief), separate yourself from the unbelief of the Charismatic movement, saith the Lord.
Isn't Blaspheming attibuting to satan what God is doing?Since so much of the modern charasmatic movement is filled with so much bad theology/error/even heresy, can't we assume with certianity that whatever spirit is involved with much of that is NOT the Holy sprit, and that those saying he is involved in promoting those heretical teaching are close to comiiting Blashemy, by attributing works of satan to being of God?
Isn't Blaspheming attibuting to satan what God is doing?
They told Jesus he was doing the works of satan....you are coming close to saying the same thing! What if you are wrong? What if it is of God? I would be very careful...you are doing it out of ignorance..but you have been shown in scripture where it is true for today! So can you claim ignorance??
