Study Shows Liberal Men Are Wimps

Because men who are stronger are used to be more self reliant and less likely to want to be a victim.

I am not as strong as I used to be ... but who at 73 year old is as strong as when they were young. I was quite strong ... grew up on a farm, did a whole lot of farm work, played football and basketball and ran track, the 440 and the high hurdles. Worked out often. Did a lot of manual work. I can still hike 15 miles a day over rough terrain. Frankly, physically I am very blessed, though I have noticed that it take longer for me to recover than when I was young ... but I guess that is normal at my age.

When I was 18 I knew everything. When I was 19 in a physical science class I suddenly realized there was something I did not know ... what the professor was talking about. Since then I have learned that in the scheme of things there are to know, I know nothing.

Since elementary school I have always been reading one or more books at a time. My goal this year is to read 70 books. So far I am ahead of schedule.

I have no idea what you mean by smart. There are lots of areas in which to be smart and lots of areas in which not to be smart. However I see no contradiction in having strength and also in trying to be intelligent. God gave us muscles and brain and expects us to exercise both.

How about you, are you smart?

 

Interesting reply. Would you elaborate on why you believe you are smart? I am not questioning whether you are or are not. But I am interested in knowing why you believe you are?

One thing I forgot to add in my reply above. I believe that every person I meet know things that I do not know. Thus, any person I meet can be my teacher.

 

1. Yes, I am confident of my reply.

2. I did not know of any boys who gave up their lunch money. It is a silly idea.

3. All guys ... well almost all guys ... chase girls.

4. The biggest wimps I have met in my life are big guys who like to act tough, but are not when push comes to shove. They hide behind their size, but were like the Wizard of Oz, there was nothing there when they were challenged or exposed.

5. Why are you fearful of telling us why you believe you are smart?

Of course I do not know what you are referring to when you say smart. A person can have a high IQ but remain ignorant by not studying or reading. As I said in my earlier post, there are many kinds of smarts. There are those who are:

1. Street smart.
2. People smart.
3. Financially smart.
4. Socially smart.
5. Book smart.
6. Music smart.
7. Mathematical smart.
8. Spiritually smart.
The list could go on for a very long time.

What kind of smart are you speaking about?

Is that guy STILL calling himself a Republican? In what world would that be true? Oh yeah, this one. I forgot how much the political world has "evolved" and moved around the circle. They're almost where the Democrats were. Hrm.
