No, not even close to the same as when Rice was there. They went down the KJV only path, take parts of sermons out(without saying that they did), etc.

Yes, I have a life time subscription. I could be wrong but I believe it goes back to the John R. Rice days. I don't go along with there KJO deal but I get some good reading out of it at times.

Like Bob, I have a lifetime subscription. It seems a shadow of what it was when Dr. Rice was at the helm, but then I am at a age where everything was better 'back in the day" :tonofbricks:

We used to get it. I lost interest after reading an article/sermon by Jeff Fugate that blasted women for wearing slacks.

Same as others- great periodical when Dr. Rice was in charge, started a downhill slide under Curtis Hutson and has not recovered. I guess they have their niche and I'm not in that niche any more.

Tom, I agree with you on it not being what it was under John R. Rice.

I don't think I agree with you here, Tom. I love central heat and air and you know that indoor plumbing isn't bat either. Taking a bath in a bath tub and not in a wash tub on the back porch isn't bad either. But on so many other things I'm with you.

We had an inside bathtub and a house next door had AC and we had a furnace for heat. But I am thankful for many new things like the internet and cable TV... so i can watch reruns of shows like Andy Griffith and M*A*S*H lol

That was done when Rice was in charge. Notably Spurgeon's sermons in which the latter's Calvinism was excised as much as possible.
