Do you remember Hogans Heroes from the '60's?

The plot of the very last episode was about Three mobile rocket launchers are aimed at London and awaiting detonation, or destruction. With radio detection trucks patrolling the area and one rocket sitting inside Stalag 13, directing the Allied bombers could turn into a suicide mission.

Back then TV series normally did not have a finale - ie to tie up all the loose ends.

So if you were to be a writer for the show, what would happen to finish up the series.

For extra credit - if there was to be a HH movie - who would would you cast to play the main characters?

    Yep. One of my favorites.

Hard to say. Probably kill a couple of them off.

Schultz would end up being the hero, somehow, and would go back to his toy company. I wonder how many people know Schultz's backstory. I only know because I'm a big trivia buff.

Schultz was a very successful businessman in real life, while Klink just sort of floundered through life, only becoming an officer as the result of marrying a general's ugly and unmarriable sister. So that makes it kind of ironic that he would be over Klink in military rank and responsibility.

    Patrick Stewark - Klink
    John Belushi - Schultz
Greg Kinnear - Hogan (ironically, Kinnear portrayed Bob Crane in the indie film, Autofocus)

Never figured out why the US Armed Forces TV Network didn't run "Hogan's Heroes" on its TV stations in Germany back in the 1960's while I was stationed there.:smilewinkgrin:
