    OMG!!!!!

    CONCUR!!!

    Wow, just, wow.

Not even close Mitchell, not even close.:laugh:

Open Theism is more closely related to Determinism and Calvinism than any "Middle-Knowledge" explanation is.
By it's very nature...it's a non-disprovable assertion, I mean, you don't HAVE to believe in it, by any means, that's fine.

But anyone who knows their bum from their elbow about it, would at least understand that it can't be heresy since it's simply a non-disprovable explanation which has, frankly, enjoyed the entertainment of CENTURIES of quality Theological discourse.

You don't know what "Middle-Knowledge" is.

Guess my IG levels are not sufficient to be included in these discussions...

Only recorded at 140 for myself, guess not high enough!

Failed to qualify for genius, as missed by 10 points the required 150 score!

Point is that none of us have to be talked down to here, as compared to Paul and especially Jesus, we are all "dummies!"

My main 'concern' is not with you, for though we do disagree on points here, at least you are usually civil about it!

I make an effort to be civil, but there are some that challenge me in that area, it is not you.

Now the readers can see the contrasting views and decide for themselves which is more Biblical.

I believe in the plenary verbal inspiration of an inerrant Scripture and that is not dictation. How God accomplished His purpose is known to Him and that is good enough for me. There is a passage in Daniel that , at least for me, demonstrates the mystery of God's inspiration of Scripture.

Daniel 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

I see nothing mundane or boorish about God communicating His Word to select persons, having that Word recorded and preserving it for mankind. It is an example of His limitless Grace and I am eternally grateful to Him.

There is a problem with some "exceptionally educated christian philosopher and apologist". They sometimes think they are smarter than God! Reminds me of Bishop Pike!

Well said Rev and I wholeheartedly agree!

But as quantumfaith said this guy is an "exceptionally educated christian philosopher and apologist" so maybe usens, or is it weans, just can't understand. I know of one "exceptionally educated christian philosopher and apologist" who thought the the Living Word is "Logic" though Scripture says He is God.

That is true OR. But it is not limited to Christian apologists and philosophers. There is ample evidence of the same here, EVEN when it may be couched in the phrase (or similar phrases)..... "and that is what the Bible says".

Interesting that we in the Church can get behind al all excited about persons, such as a NT Wright or Dr Lane, who might not ewven be teaching sounddoctrines, yet we think they sound 'so smart and wise!"
