"Ignorance of the law is no excuse." Neither is ignorance of the Scriptures; ignorance of the rules, and ignorance of the statement of faith which is stated at the bottom of every page. You should have read it when you registered and said "I agree."
Why are you posting in a Baptist Forum and questioning the deity of Christ?
If you don't believe in the deity of Christ you shouldn't be in the Baptist Forum. What Baptist doesn't believe the deity of Christ.

    The statement of faith:
    Quote:
    B. God the Son
Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself human nature with its demands and necessities and identifying Himself completely with mankind yet without sin. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His substitutionary death on the cross He made provision for the redemption of men from sin. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and appeared to His disciples as the person who was with them before His crucifixion. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He is the One Mediator, fully God, fully man, in whose Person is effected the reconciliation between God and man. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission. He now dwells in all believers as the living and ever present Lord.

ARE THESE YOUR OWN WORDS TO ME?

I don't make up the rules. They are posted at the bottom of every page. You supposedly read them and understood them before you pressed the icon that said "I agree." Why did you agree to something you don't know about or don't understand? Read them again if you have to?

Understand! This is a debate forum. I am sure you know what debate is all about. It takes at least two individuals. If you don't want to debate you don't have to. But then don't post here if that is your decision. Post in a fellowship forum where you can discuss and partake of discussions about the weather, birds, nature, your home, etc.
This is a debate forum. Ideas are exchanged and sometimes the fire gets hot. If it is too hot step out. That decision is yours.

No sure what this thread is about. Perhaps the idea is that the Word (and the Word was God) was not incarnate (became flesh). John 1:1-14 makes it clear Jesus is God.

Some, not Baptists, attack this truth this way: They claim the son of God is a creation and not an eternal being. Such a view is heresy.

How come the words "Jesus is God" cannot be found written in any of the 66 books of the bible? Do you believe there is a reason for it?

First, it appears at the time of your registration you put your denomination as: seeking. and,
Your church as: body of Christ.

If that be true you are not a Baptist, and should not be posting here.
If it also is true, (as some here are supposing) that you have been here before and are posting under another name then you ought to be banned immediately. But I can't prove that. Either way, IMO, you are not a Baptist.

    Verses showing Jesus is God.

John 20:28 - And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Acts 20:28 - Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

1 Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1 John 3:16 - Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

God is the author of Scripture. All scripture is given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Holy men of God wrote as they were inspired of the Holy Spirit. God is the author of the Scriptures.

The OT was written in Hebrew and the NT was written in Greek. In those languages we can find some of the strongest expressions of Christ being deity. One thing is for sure: the Bible was not originally written in English, and therefore you will not find the English phrase you are looking for. But there are such strong words of claims to deity that it angered the Jews so much that they tried to stone him.
Isn't that enough of a claim to deity?
    To deny such is foolishness.

    Who was Thomas speaking to?

Who bought the church with his blood?

Who became flesh and dwelt among us?

Who laid down his life for us?

Answer those questions and you will know who God is.

Where did I question your salvation.
You are deceitful and lied when you put down "body of Christ" for "home church." The "body of Christ' is no one's home church. Report all you want. What you are reporting is your own lies and deceit.

No, it proves the scriptures declare Jesus to be God numerous times and that you deny scripture.

Paul may have said that at that time. That is the historical context.
    But read again this verse:

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

It is still inspired of God. ALL scripture is inspired.

Here is more Scripture that is inspired:
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Acts 13:10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

    All of it is inspired.
