I'm not surprised.

http://www.globalresearch.ca/health-and-the-environment-testosterone-levels-fall-worldwide/30129

A new study has found a “substantial” drop in U.S. men’s testosterone levels since the 1980s, but the reasons for the decline remain unclear. This trend also does not appear to be related to age.

Before anyone asks, I've been tested, and my levels are off the charts for a 53 year old man.

The horse manure that is marketing. And hobbit feet & a hairy chest & back are natural.

What we do see is that most father characters on TV tend do be wimps - and usually with a dominate mother figure.

Hardly the entire measure of who is a wimp or not. A high testosterone hardly is the golden measure. I have know a fair number of men with high testosterone, but when push came to shove they were wimps.

The title of the thread is:
"U.S. Men Are Becoming Wimps. "

So Why are men becoming wimps?

Does the portrayal of men on TV have anything to do with it?

Somebody else didn't read the article.

Folks, if you're going to comment, let's become informed of what the article says.

I imagine sitting and watching TV does more to lessen testosterone than any programming on it. The article hints to this, towards the end, where it explains how to raise your own levels.

Somebody didn't read the link.

Oh, I read the article and it is old news. There have been articles on this topic for several years.

I was responding to your using the word wimps in the title of the OP. Why did you use that word as it does not fit the article at all?

I believe it does fit. And you may have read it, but it seems you comprehended little of it.

It appears you do not know what the word wimp means. Let me help you with the definition of wimp from the dictionary:

a weak, ineffectual, timid person.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/wimp?s=t

a weak and cowardly or unadventurous person.
https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=wimp+defin

A person who is scared, or WEAK or cowardly.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=wimp

As you see the definition of the word has nothing to do with testosterone. So a person can be off the chart, as you say, with testosterone and still be a wimp.

Your use of the word in the title of the OP is totally incorrect.

I really don't care, C.T.Boy. I'm still waiting for you to show me all the white supremacist groups I worked with when I helped organize Missoula's first tea party. If you aren't going to do that, then you're not worth talking to.

I called the thread what I wanted to. Your admonishments mean very little.

And by doing so you showed ignorance of the word wimp. Not my fault you were ignorant of the definition.

Now, I suppose you can argue that a word means whatever you want it to mean regardless of what the authorities who compile a dictionary say it means.

You're an idiot with this red herring stuff. My point is, if you don't have to answer questions, then you are hypocritical to demand others do. Don't care what you call it.

Funny how the wimpiest guy on the B.B. is upset at me.

And I suppose you could take a long walk off a short pier. Should I compile a list of questions you won't answer ? Challenges you have refused to take ?

Your admonishment is silly. I'm not changing the title, I stand by it. U.S. men are becoming pathetic, and you are heading the parade.

ROFL, oh I am not up set. I am highly amused at your ignorance and refusing to admit you made a mistake. You make my day much happier with laughter with such responses.

My sister used to use that comment about a long walk off a short pier. Thanks for another good laugh ... bringing back memories of the past.

Put your big boy pants on.

US men becoming pathetic has nothing to do with testosterone. It has to do with attitude, bravery and standing up for what is right. For a Christian this means standing up for what Christ taught and how we are to treat others.

Actually that sounds like an excuse the liberals would use.

My answer was based on the title of the thread. And to some extent I actually agree to some of the points that Crabby brought up.
