While I do not disagree with the present list I have a different take. I am conservative and white. I grew up in Mississippi in the 50s and 60s. Some of the things I saw were nothing short of being from the pits of hell. I hate racism. I consider those who should hold the top spots and deserve to be in hell today are the pastors that tolerated and supported segregation. How could anyone read the Bible and go to seminary and look the other way? Yes these pastors who ignored this make the presented list look like Sunday School teachers. And dont come back it was cultural especially if you did not live there. Wrong is wrong.

Wow...ironically, the mere posting of this screams racism.

??? I see no racism in the discussion of this topic. No offense intended, but, perhaps you're too sensitive and too easily offended to take part in such a discussion. In my own experience, blacks are just as much or more racist than whites.

In all honesty, no offense taken. But you really don't see how this can be taken as such? And what do you define as racism? and what is the difference then between prejudice and racism?

No, I don't. Pinpoint it, show me the post/sentence/phrase that offends you so that I may have an example of what you consider to be racist.

What is the intention behind one's list of the "top 10 racist African-Americans"?

If it were not racist the OP would have also included the top ten white racist Americans. I bet he won't do that. I bet he had no idea who they are.

This is simply a feel good racist post, throwing rocks at those he does not like, who all happen to be black. [sarcasm on "who all happen to be black]

And, as far as I'm concerned Crabby and RT, your posts are just empty, groundless accusations. This is America where we have the right to discuss such things, and this is his thread and it's the topic he wishes to discuss. Why not sit back and read for a while and see if something REALLY racist appears instead of carrying your lil' feelings around in your hands and making baseless accusations.

If you feel so strongly to counterbalance, start your own thread about the top ten white racist Americans.

I'm not a mind reader. Again, instead of foaming at the bit to accuse, why not let the thread take it's course and see if something that is racist for real pops up.

Empty, groundless, lil' feelings, baseless? All of that is relative and subjective. One could consider your replies apathetically prejudice...and i'm sure you would be quick to deny that.

No, I resent any infringement on any of our rights and it's lil' girls getting their feelings hurt and squealing RACISM in order to stifle free speech that tends to raise my ire.

Carry on lil' girls, if you think it's racist then pitter patter your lil' feet to the moderators and tattle.

I'll just say this. I rarely see black people mentioned in a positive manner around here.

Lil' girls?? Now we're at insults. Such a vituperative response can only come from a heart of racism. (Luke 6:45)

If you see a need on this board for more positive imaging of blacks, by all means start injecting it in. This is America. It's your right to do so.

Only a racist goes around calling every one a racist.
