I'm sorry, but I'm not seeing the similarity.

I assure you here in KY the thought has crossed many minds why a church would have a policy against concealed carry. The pioneers routinely OPENLY brought weapons to church service.

Would love to hear comments from the preachers.

Did you notice I included 'stealth in my suggestion? The majority need not even be aware of it.

Sounds like it could be a synagogue in Israel.

Many many churches have people who have ccl discretely carry their weapons to church. Not everyone sees it as a "why would people want to live that way" experience. Especially in the south and the west it is very common.

Failure to have any kind of a security plan in the church can lead to all sorts of liability law suits. Churches should have security on hand who are armed and have a well thought out plan with regular security meetings.

Nobody said that, and you wouldn't let someone else get away with this. Armed guards are not concealed carry.

I carry everywhere else. It's just part of my wardrobe. The preacher may not know...or he might... but I see no reason to tell him or discuss it with him.

The similarity exists in the same people blaming the dead people as the cause for why they are dead.

The racially prejudiced and racist white people on this board and in society have made it a point to blame the dead black people for "not behaving" or "for not doing what they are supposed to do" for their own deaths.

It's part of the marginalizing of black lives that the racially prejudiced and racist white people in this country have learned to do. Taught exclusively by FOX NEws and "conservative" media outlets.

It's part of the assuaging of guilt.

It's why a police officer can shoot a fleeing man in the back and certain people can make excuses for him. It's why someone can shoot a 12 year old kid in two seconds and folks on here can justify it.

One of the most moronic excuses for reasoning I have ever seen.

You don't have a single solitary clue what you're talking about.

Your though processes are so inbred and idiotic they stagger the imagination.

So what's wrong with your 'though process' (you're starting to slur already) that causes you to spew this garbage that you do? Your hateful attitude staggers my imagination. It's right juvenile in itself.

Why can't you just stifle and chill out?

The pastor in question is also a SC State Senator who has introduced legislation and pushed bills that take guns away from law abiding citizens.

He approved of the law that made carry in church a crime and refused to allow any guns in "his" church.

The deaths of those 9 brothers and sisters in Christ is a terrible tragedy, but the radical left wing anti-constitutionalists have to be honest and accept that they are, at least in part, responsible for creating the very situation that cost 9 innocent people their lives.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out the old saying, "If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem." <roll eyes>

Just like the racially prejudiced and racists folks on the anti-everything right have to be honest and accept that they too bred this young men. His own words again are a direct testimony to the folks he's been listening.

But white privilege has attempted to absolve itself of its wickedness for 400+ years.

But the world is finally seeing the truth about what is going on and what is being taught and bred by the racially prejudiced and racist right in this country.

    Okay, let's see.

    1. It's the gun's fault!

    2. Except when it is not the gun's fault, it is the Republican's fault.

Anybody ever consider it was the shooter's fault?

If the shooter came in my church he would never have made it out alive.

Same with my church. Some of our men and women would have shot back. Time to hit the deck and pray that you don't get hit by friendly fire! Has nothing to do with racism as some would suggest and everything to do with a constitutional right.

News reports said that he re-loaded his Glock five times. He doesn't look to be that big of a guy--why didn't someone jump him while he was re-loading?

You do have a point, but it would depend on the age and physical ability of the individuals.
I have not seen the ages, ect of the victims.

He killed 6 women and 3 men and left 1 lady alive. He may have killed the men first. And I just don't see the ladies, one who was 87 years old, jumping him.
