The GOP loves to praise Reagan and paint him as a good, honest fellow while condemning Obama. Well, let's look at Reagan's record:

And twenty-six years after he left office, they still drone on...
These memes are just so stupid. How about something with some links to actual research ? This is a lazy way to try and get a point across.

What's the personal question I'm about to ask you, my Brother and Friend in Christ? It's this: Where do you get all the time to access, then turn around and post as much as you do here on BB about your political leanings? You may think that this question is none of my business, and I fully understand why you'd think so.
this is what you should have done in the first place. And I criticized YOU, for the lazy post. This might be biased but at least there is real info. You should stick to facts and not smart-Alec memes.ROFL So you criticize from ignorance and are too lazy to do your own research. Ok, try these:

yeah. He just showed up here and everybody started being mean to him.Bro. CTB---
I don't mean to be disrespectful to you. I don't know you personally, nor do I know much about the mission field to which God has called you.
Having admitted my woeful ignorance of you personally, your time schedules, etc., I wish you God's richest b lessings on you, your family, and the work to which He has called you....Honestly I do.
I won't condemn you for your political leanings--even if they are completely different than mine--which they are.
You're just as much a citizen as I am, and, as such, you're entitled to believe and voice your opinions....not only here on BB, but anywhere else where you deem it an appropriate venue to do so. Our Bill of Rights guarantees you the right to lawfully express your opinions and practices as you deem lawful and appropriate. I strongly support your right to do to the extent that I spent a third of my life defending your rights when I voluntarily served in our nation's military. In fact, that's what I swore to do each time I enlisted--which was a total of 6 times over the past half century.
Having posted all the above statements, I'd like to know just 1 personal thing about you, my Brother in Christ. You don't have to respond publicly here on this very public BB thread if you don't wish to. You can PM me about your response to this one question if you wish to do so....That's fine with me.
What's the personal question I'm about to ask you, my Brother and Friend in Christ? It's this: Where do you get all the time to access, then turn around and post as much as you do here on BB about your political leanings? You may think that this question is none of my business, and I fully understand why you'd think so.
It isn't my business to pry into your personal life, or to know how you believe God would have you to live out your life in your service to Him. That's not my intention at all. I wouldn't want you or anyone else on BB to publicly demand I give an account to them of something as personal and private as that. That's why I suggested that we continue this discussion via PM's if you wish to do so. That option is entirely up to you, my Brother and Friend in Christ.
I'll not berate you publicly here on BB as so many of other BB posters have done in the past or are currently doing. Frankly, I'm embarrassed to read the insults these people lob at you on a daily basis with seemingly little concern over how their so doing puts BB--a supposed Bible-centered "Christian" forum--in the eyes of those who visit its postings in order to form a perception in their minds of how people who profess to be ones who follow the One who told them to "Love your 'enemies,' bless them that curse you, do good to them that 'hate you,' and pray for them which 'despitefully use you,' and 'persecute you'" (Mt. 5:44). Don't think these BB visitors don't often get that impression when they scan through our various forms because they do--and you KNOW THAT THEY DO!
No, that's NOT what the One who took our place on the cross wants from His children, but that's exactly what He sees many of us BB posters doing....
Bro wpe, thank you for your post. I appreciate it.
I am retired, have been for 20 years. I do a lot of online reading as well as reading books every day. My goal this year is to read 52 books by the end of December. Currently I am 8 books ahead of schedule. I love to read, love to learn and am not afraid of information. I fear some are fearful of learning new things as it might force them to give up long held, long loved ideas and beliefs. I see life as a journey of discovery and change. To put it one way, I climb a mountain seeking truth and when I read the top what do I find? More mountains to climb. It never ends.
I now live in a continuing care retirement community. While I do go to exercise classes every day I do have quite a lot of time to read, research and think. There are those on the BB who refuse to believe me, but I was a registered Republican for many years. I finally had to leave that party when it moved so far right and adopted their Southern Policy, which, to me, was and is a racist policy. I am not happy about much in the Democratic Party, but to me they are more interested in helping the poor, the ill, the elderly and children where as, to me, the GOP is interested in corporate profits and protecting the rich at the expense of the poor. You may or may not agree with me, but that is my perception.
I ran an engineering/communications company library for 26 years. My entire adult like, save 4 years, was researching information. I also was a freelance indexer, indexes in the back of books, for over 25 years and occasionally will index a book gratis for a friend or the friend of a friend. The majority of those books were medical books, some in computer programming, some in computer languages as well as several editions of the National Electric Code.
In other words, I have spent my adult life dealing in finding and organizing information. It has been fun and informative.
To me neither party has a leg to stand on morally concerning abortion and as I am not a one issue voter I do not let that issue determine my vote. And, yes I am against abortion. There are folk for whom this is the only issue in life.
Concerning this tread I remember the Reagan years and remember the scandals that surrounded his administration. The record is there for all to see. Many myths have been promoted concerning him and his years in office. Most are false, but are widely accepted as truth. I do believe in time, in the historical sense of time ... a hundred or two hundred years, that historians will judge him harshly. I was a Reagan supporter at one time, but the scandals and his policies that harmed the average American drove me away from supporting him. Did he do wrong in everything he did. No. Did he do right in everything he did? No. He was human just like all presidents and he did some good things and some bad. Overall, as you probably surmise by now, I feel he did more wrong than right.
Life and issues are not as simply as many believe.
Again, thanks for your post.
The fact that no Obama officials have even been investigated shows that the Obama administration is the most corrupt in history and that corruption is pervasive throughout the administration. But the record is still there and it still looks very corrupt.
How many officials of the Obama administration have been convicted of crimes?
