I am sure we all have at least one, if not more, candidate in this weeks Fox debate between the top ten presidential candidates (according to the polls). So who do you see winning, orat least helping their cause, and why?

No one will win but I expect Huckabee to help himself. He's effective in front of a camera, comes off as likable and knowledgeable.

Rubio will also help himself. He's got a compelling life story and his youthfulness is something the Republicans need to project after two rounds of old white men as candidates.

I expect Trump to be hurt by the debates. His attack mode style might work when he's on his own but when he's in the same room with these people he'll have to temper his antics. But he won't. That will hurt his image. Plus he will be asked actual policy questions which he'll have trouble answering. I think he will come off as a one or two liner sound bite machine.

Rubio may help himself but he does not stand a chance.

Huckabee has a good chance as does Cruz. There are some others who are good candidates but will struggle to stand out.

I would not assume what Trump will do. I would also point out that the attacks have been by everyone not just trump.

Maybe I've missed it, but what Republicans have attacked other Republicans?

Ah yes, I remember now. Wasn't a super aggressive attack (read: wasn't Trump-like). Also I think most of them have taken jabs at Trump.

Trump Republicans have been called crazies and a cancer, among other things.

As for the debate, I expect Carly Fiorina to do well.

Does anyone other than me think that it is far too early to be worrying about the November 2016 election?

I think she will do well. The candidate that is going to stand out is not afraid to say things in terms and language that everyday people understand. Trump has set the standard here on this. That is why he is doing so well. Political Correctness set aside and plain language will rule the day. Walker is capable of it and Trump. Fiorna as well. Not sure about the rest.

Carly Fiorina is not in the top ten candidates so she's not in the prime time televised debate. She's in the afternoon forum.

Not sure why you think this is important to me or this thread.

    Hmmm...thread title:

"Who will prevail in the Fox News Debate this Week?"

Fiorina will not be in the prime time debate (she will be in the afternoon session) you lumped her in with Trump and Walker, people she will not debate against, so I think it's relevant.

I do not. She will debate and it will be seen publicly. I do not major on minor details. I will leave that to you.

A normal person would have just said thanks for the additional information and moved on.

Bush ? Huckabee ? No way.

I think Bobby Jindahl could probable straddle the two extremes.

Ben Carson doesn't seem to mind people being mad at him. Christie folded like a lawn chair at the first sign of trouble.

Carson is to timid. Huckabee will do very well. I am unsure about Jindahl although I would certainly support him. We will see.

    A Few Questions --

Will Trump ever move into policy specifics? If not, will the other candidates go after him on this?

Will Trump continue to bash the other candidates, now that he's face to face with them? How will he handle a "John McCain" question?

Will Perry remember which three agencies he wants to abolish?

Will Carson be too soft spoken or he will be considered the adult in the room?

Will Christie and Trump go toe to toe? (Would be fun to watch.)

Will Kasich make the main debate? If so, will he be considered a policy wonk? Is he forceful enough to contend with the 9 others?

Will the other candidates go after Bush as being too liberal?

Will Bush remind Trump that, "by the way, my wife is Mexican"?

Which candidates will go after the "far right" vote?

Will any of the candidates go after Cruz for his attack on the Senate majority leader? If so, how will he handle it?

Will any of the candidates bring up Trump's lack of political experience? If so, how will he handle it?

How will Carson handle his lack of any political experience?

Why do we refer to Dr. Carson, but Senator Paul? Should we refer to him as Senator Dr. Paul? Or Dr. Senator Paul?

Will Paul get too specific on his new tax program?

How will Rubio handle his lack of executive experience? Same with Cruz?

Will Huckabee double down (or triple down) on his Nazi comment?

This may be an advantage for Trump

I wish a candidate would address the Automatic Electronic Tax.
