Of course, maybe we wait for all the details when a cop uses force because, regardless of the fact that miscarriages of justice do occur, there are instances where the police use force in the performance of their duties and within the limits of their job.

Can't say that I've come across a time when a terrorist lawfully used force in the performance of his/her duties, though.

What, essentially, are the gun laws in France? Is personal ownership legal? and what type, transport, concealment, et al? I consider it an educated guess that they are restrictive.

They are VERY restrictive. Which is very interesting but at the same time not so surprising for a country that's historically lampooned for surrendering.

I don't know. Given the relatively few number of people who actually open carry (as opposed to conceal carry), I doubt it has happened much. Especially since there are relatively few mass shootings, no matter what the media may insinuate.

However, it would be the most reasonable thing for a spree shooter to do. They want to kill as many as possible before being stopped, so it stands to reason is that they would focus on the obvious threats first.

The Paris Prosecutor just stated that these terrorists each had a manual button to push in order to blow themselves up. A well placed round in the head could have stopped these morons from igniting.
