It is the same gender couples that are the problem. Why take that out on a child?

In addition to same gender couples leaving - so are opposite gender couples leaving. dont know the % of the two groups.
As far as taking out on a child - the mormon church is very family orientated. Now, when a child turns 18, he will be free to be baptized and then receive all benefits of being a church elder.

I still question the wisdom of holding the sins of the parents against a child. Doesn't seem biblical at all...but these are Mormans...so...Unsure

    That system isn't a 'church'.

Salty you said you agree with very little of their doctrine. Which areas of their doctrine (aside from this decision) do you agree with?

What a mix. It's nice someone is taking a stand. Too bad the organization taking a stand isn't based on biblical values. However, taking this stand will probably further confuse the public about Mormons and Christianity.

Yep. Inclusivism is becoming a bigger problem in Christendom. Sound doctrine? Not to be endured.

Sad to say it is not just the public that is confused. More Baptists are converted to Mormonism than vice versa. We need to be equipped to explain the differences. http://snowfar4.wix.com/mormonconfusion#!about/c2414

Why would followers of Christ disagree or agree with this? Mormons are on the way to hell so why would we agree or disagree with them not baptizing the kids of same-sex couples as though the baptism means anything?

Perhaps this is an opportunity for the Body of Christ to "unindoctrinate " them from the ways of the Mormon and introduce them to the way that is Christ.
